The scene where Frances admits to Larry that she forced herself to grow up when Darwin was diagnosed with leukemia. Also, because she was scared, part of her was relieved that she wasn't a bone marrow donor match for him. It's clear Frances felt horribly guilty about it too.
The boogeyma- boogeyperson turning into Zoe as a frightened old lady was a rather heartbreaking reveal. It's a good thing she gets better. It does also add to the idea that Zoe this whole time was nothing more but terrified and not in control of herself when she was the Boogyma-er Boogyperson.
Frances's apology to Zoe after The Reveal is just as heartbreaking.
