After Morty accidentally rear-ends the TARDIS (with no visible damage done to either vehicle) and Rick insults the Doctor, the Doctor forgives him. Rick perceives this as dissing his pride that he wastes to time in picking a fight and his arrogance leads to not just his death, but to him [[RetGone getting erased from time completely]].
** Throughout the fight, at no point is the Doctor even trying to harm Rick, he simply wants Rick to go away. It isn't until Rick's destructive personality and abilities is what forces him to bring out the D-Mat Gun, and he's clearly not happy about using it.

** The existence of one of the fractures in reality at the end puts a bit of a tear-jerker on an otherwise heartwarming ending, showing Superman and Goku visibly aged and playing Bingo. The tearjerking devil is in the details here: Goku is a saiyan, and their aging doesn't catch up with them until the final years of their lives, meaning that this is Goku on his last legs - they're competing in Bingo because Goku, after a lifetime of enjoying fighting simply can no longer put up a worthy fight. Also, from the looks of their bingo sheets Goku ''[[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking still can't beat Superman]]'', not even in a game of chance, [[FridgeLogic somehow]].

In the end, though the duo were capable enough to outmatch the first three Megamen, they were second to [[VideoGame/MegaManBattleNetwork MegaMan.EXE]] and sadly lost their lives. And, unfortunately for the other three fallen Mega Men, unlike how Mega Man Classic's head was still seemingly intact after his loss to Astro Boy, [[NoBodyLeftBehind there's nothing left of them to rebuild]] ''[[NoBodyLeftBehind from]]'', having been crushed by a singularity which then exploded (Volnutt, Classic) or vapourized (X) respectively, all but ensuring that there's no coming back for them this time. [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking Also, Rush seems to be dead this time too.]] Rush's death gets sadder if you really think about it: Mega Man Classic was fused with him in their Super Adapter Armor form until he [[ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice gets skewered through X's Z-Saber]], at which point the Super Adapter armor immediately disappears.[[FridgeHorror This means that X not only killed Rock's dog]] -- which to an innocent RobotKid like him would have been bad enough but Rock also might have felt him die, [[HarmfulToMinors as they were both impaled through with a laser sword]]. The best examples of this are Godzilla VS Gamera, Hulk VS Doomsday, Gray VS Esdeath, DIO VS Alucard, Apocalypse VS Black Adam, and Frieza vs. Megatron.

** At the end of the video, after Shadow's already won, Wiz and Boomstick bring up that in a Sonic Twitter Takeover, Shadow revealed that ''Anime/KillLaKill'' is his favorite anime, noting Ryūko as a character he particularly likes. This effectively means that [[PyrrhicVictory Shadow killed one of his favorite TV show characters]].

* Guts' backstory is a combination of this and NightmareFuel. From being born from a woman hung from a tree during a massacre, to watching his surrogate mother -- the whore of a mercenary band -- die at age three, to being abused physically, emotionally, and sexually. And when he finally finds friends and a girlfriend, his best friend summons an army of demons who rip apart his friends while being force to watch said best friend -- now transfigured into a bird demon -- raped his girlfriend, and then it turns out Casca was pregnant with his child, which was horrifically mutated by the rape. The poor guy just can't hope to catch a break.

** This battle can be jarring to those who grew up watching either show since they had a massive FandomRivalry back then. Just seeing the mon and trainer you saw grow and become stronger end up dying can leave a hole in your heart. This rivals Goku vs. Superman in that department.

* Bayonetta vs. Dante: The source of Bayonetta's powers is a contract she made with a demon named Madama Butterfly. In exchange for her powers, her soul is now forever condemned to eternal torture in Inferno from the moment she dies...which is exactly what happens after her gruesome death at Dante's hands. Madama Butterfly herself ends up having her leg sliced off before being nonchalantly decapitated by Dante. Bayonetta's voice cracks when she realizes her sponsor and the only friendly demon she knew has just been killed.
