Shout Out / Little Misfortune

• Misfortune herself resembles the main character from Pan's Labyrinth.
• George's kid has a Deadpool shirt.
• A lot of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland shout-outs in this game.
  • When Misfortune is falling down from the sky, her coat stretches out like Alice's dress when she falls down the rabbit hole.
  • In the nude hamster club, Mr. Voice advises her to find the "White Rabbit".
• If you go to the hamster's meth lab, there's a movie poster that reads "Woundface", a nod towards Scarface (1983).
• At the zoo, there's a wolf that seems to be the Big Bad Wolf from Little Red Riding Hood as his plate descriptor says he likes eating little girls with red hoods.
• As Misfortune walks through the streets, there's a wall of graffiti with the name of the game company written on it, @KILLMONDAYGAMES.
• Some believe the happy masks seen in the shop windows that are meant to hide your true feelings are a nod towards We Happy Few.
• Fran Bow gets a shout-out as there's a doll of Fran below a sign of missing posters. Fitting that they're both made under the same studio.
  • The place Misfortune crosses over into, Senerseede, is one of the realms of Fran Bow. Several Fran Bow characters, including Itward, also show up briefly while she's crossing over during the ending.
• A robed figure in a boat who rows his wandering passenger across the river of the afterlife after he gets gold "payment"? Until the rower decides to abandon ship to avoid hearing Misfortune continue to talk, he was likely invoking Charon.
• In the Toy Graveyard, a figure of He-Man can be seen.
• There's obscured graffiti that says Teenspirit.
• The horror fair is called Phantasmagoria.
• "These boots are made for walkin' and that's just what they'll do."
• A fox criminal? That's silly.
• Misfortune ascends from the sewers with an exclamation of "Shazam!!"
• Morgo sets up some fox repellent for Misfortune at one point.
