- The final moments of Master Red, placing a transparent shield around his apprentice as part of his Heroic Sacrifice, may remind some folks of Yondu Udonta's.
- Towa's outfit resembles that of Link (just without the hat and other belongings).
- Asuna using a Super-Strength Ryusoul causes her arms to swell up just like Popeye. When she uses it again in episode 8, the effect is closer to Monkey D. Luffy.
- The concept of Monster of the Week being born from the negative emotions of humans was done before by Ultraman 80.
- KishiryuOh Three Knights uses drills on its knees in #1, not unlike GaoGaiGar.
- Wyzul has a longcoat, top hat and Classy Cane, and even brags about being the "greatest entertainer". Episode 42 seals the deal with a musical number clearly inspired by "The Greatest Show".
- Tyramigo humorously calls Melto Naruto by accident in episode 7; the solution to that episode's problem just happens to be creating clones.
- This is taken further in episode 25, where he calls him "Boruto".
- When MosaRex saved Oto in episode 15, it very much looks like the Mosasaurus feeding scene from Jurassic World.
- Wyzul yells "Muda, muda, muda, muda, muda, muda, muda, muda, muda!" in episode 17. Now have we heard this line before?
- The unaging Bamba is revealed to have a girlfriend from 50 years ago who can barely remember him anymore.
- Episode 19 is titled "Attack on Tyramigo".note
- In episode 22, when Canalo/RyuSoulGold attacks Tankjoh, the latter — having been destroyed before the former's debut — asks him who he is. Before Canalo can answer, Tankjoh responds "It doesn't matter who you are!"
- On the subject of Tankjoh, he takes a moment to drop a Kinnikuman paraphrase.note Tankjoh: Your attacks are fast, light, and cheap!
Towa: (indignant) What am I, a bowl of gyudon? - The Necromancer Minusaur takes some design elements from the Dark Magician of Yu-Gi-Oh!.
- At the end of that episode, the red hero is passed out and falling from a portal in the sky, until the one super-strong team member catches him.
- On the subject of Tankjoh, he takes a moment to drop a Kinnikuman paraphrase.note
- At the start of episode 23: A gold ring similar to one featured in Sonic The Hedgehog can be seen on a drawing.
- The end of the giant battle at episode 28 appears to be a reference to the ending of Tomorrow's Joe, except it's more Played for Laughs here than being a dramatic moment.
- The Dwarf Minosaur's white gi, red gloves and black belt is reminiscent to Ryu's clothes from the Street Fighter series.
- In episode 31, unsealed Pterardon introduces himself as "neither a bird, nor a plane".
- The arrow used to send the Elder's letter to the Ryusoulgers, is basically a small copy of the Ultra Lance used by Ultraman Jack. This is a reference to the Elder being played by Jiro Dan, the same actor who played Ultraman Jack's host Hideki Goh.
- The latest power-up weapon for RyuSoulRed and RyuSoulGold is called the RyuSoul Calibur.
- Satan Minusaur's strongest attack has purple lasers coming out of his body at multiple random angles, much like the "Cabinet Reshuffling Beam" from Shin Godzilla.
- In episode 41 all the Ryusoulgers get to be film extras, dressing up as The Men in Black with the specific role of chasing people down, which is pulled from the premise of Run For Money: Tousouchuu.
- The theatre-based Phantom Minosaur is clearly a nod to The Phantom of the Opera, but its unique mask is actually based on the poster art for Phantom of the Paradise.
- Eras's head in her final form resembles Valefor's.
