Love Live! series
- Several doujin readers are surprised to the fact that many fan artists' (Mezashi
for example) works are officially published as an anthology manga. Some of these works are shipping in nature (Gakkushu-hen, for example, has Yoshiko and Riko going for a kiss on the lips), which came as a shock as this is an official work. - Every time µ's, Aqours and/or NijiGaku work together in a single show. Some examples:
- The reveal of Perfect Dream Project during the Happy Party Train Tour had µ's and Aqours interacting for the first time and every fan in the arena rejoiced.
- Emitsun coming as a special guest/co-host for Anchan during the reveal of NijiGaku's cast members.
- The opening movie for ALL STARS also had a lot of fans rejoicing as all 3 generations are interacting.
- The announcement of "LoveLive! Fest", a live concert featuring µ's (who has been on hiatus since 2016!), Aqours, Saint Snow and Nijigasaki High on a single stage.
- The announcement of "Ijigen Fes", the first large scale collaboration between Love Live and its rival, The Idolmaster.
- The announcement of "Unit Koshien 2024", the second live concert where all active groups (Aqours, Nijigasaki High, Liella and Hasunosora), including rivals Saint Snow and Sunny Passion, appear on a single stage.
Love Live! School Idol Project
- In the Mogyutto "love" de Sekkin Chuu! PV, Honoka literally threw a microphone up in the air.
- During the "Koremade no Love Live!" sequence, Honoka spins on a pole in a very fast speed, which results on fan theories◊.
- Honoka stopping the rain with her voice. It must be seen to believe.
- The entirety of the Female Singer in The School Idol Movie: which everyone believes that she's future Honoka.
- We're pretty sure that nobody expected an official art of Eli and Nozomi donning their traditional wedding clothes.
- Nobody expected that µ's will release a new single with an animated PV after Final Live.
Love Live! Sunshine!!
- Aqours receiving their first setback: Coming last place out of 30 with 0 votes in the Tokyo School Idol World competition.
- The confession between Chika and Riko, with the latter saying three words: I Love You.
- On the first broadcast of Season 1 Episode 11, a scene of You in her glasses had made fans believe that Hanayo finally made an appearance before they realized that it wasn't her. Not helped that the night sky changed her hair color's tones.
- Rikako performing "Omoi yo Hitotsu ni Nare" on the piano during 1st Live Day 1.
- Mari (coincidentally) breaking the fourth wall in the Season 2 Episode 1.
- It came off as quite a shock given the status quo when Aqours is unable to save their school with only 98 applicants and Uranohoshi is forced to close down.
- Aqours and Saint Snow joining forces as "Saint Aqours Snow" to perform "Awaken the power".
- The announcement of "Hakodate Unit Carnival" with Saint Snow performing live, which marks the first time a rival group will perform in a live concert.
- Anchan actually performing the backflip from MIRACLE WAVE during the 3rd Live Tour.
- The scene with Kanan asking Mari to dance while on bent knee looks very similar to a marriage proposal, prompting fans to believe that the ship jumped from ''subtext'' to ''text''.
- Aina kissing Anju on the cheek in the 4th Live, which surprised the fandom.
- ''Over the Rainbow'' has several of these:
- One of the trailers for the movie reveals that Mari is going to get married.
- The unexpected reveal of a boyish-looking character (which later turns out to be Tsuki, her cousin) with a smiling You.
Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club
- The surprise announcement of the anime during Nijigasaki High's 1st Live Day 2 is a collective happy moment for both fans and the voice actresses as Nijigasaki finally became popular enough for an anime, despite not having any plans for it in the beginning.
