13-year old Latina schoolgirl Violet Rodriguez (Scarlett Estavez) has always been living in the shadows of her older brother Santiago ("Tiago" for short). One day, she and her best friend Maya discover a mysterious Luchador mask which chooses her to be its wearer; when she wears it, she transforms into a super-fast Luchador superhero called Ultra Violet. She teams up with another Luchador, Black Scorpion, who turns out to be the alter-ego of her uncle Cruz, who becomes her trainer. The two become a duo and work to protect their city from various forces of evil, while trying to keep their identities hidden and discovering mysteries behind the various other Luchador figures.
The series was unfortunately cancelled after one season despite ending on a cliffhanger.
This show contains examples of:
- Instant Costume Change: Violet and Cruz can transform into their alter egos by simply putting on their masks; removing them reverts them to civillian form.
- Only the Chosen May Wield: Violet's mask is said to have chosen her, suddenly appearing in the stock of a street vendor in her path . When she tries to give it up by throwing it away, it reappears to her later on a breeze. When Maya puts on the mask, it doesn't transform her.
- Power Dyes Your Hair: Violet's hair turns light purple when she transforms into Ultra Violet.
- Secret Chaser: Antisocial hall monitor Luis León, Violet's frenemy who wants to find out Ultra Violet's identity and expose her.
- Secret Identity: Both Violet and Cruz have to keep their superhero forms a secret from everyone, especially her family.
- Secret Identity Vocal Shift: Cruz's voice becomes slightly deeper and more husky when he transforms into Black Scorpion. Violet notes on this upon discovering his identity.
- Secret-Keeper: Maya is the only one who knows Violet is Ultra Violet.
- Super-Speed: Ultra Violet's main superpower. She annoys Black Scorpion at one point by tapping her pen at super speed.
- Super-Strength: Black Scorpion's main power. He uses it to stop a van in its tracks.

What Could Have Been: The show was originally pitched as Ultra Violet and Blue Demon, with Blue Demon Jr. tapped for the role now taken by Black Scorpion.
