"If you look at a bar chart of international oddness, the UK's bar currently goes off the charts. In fact, the local station is so overwhelmed with odd problems they need help...now."
— Official synopsis for the show

Odd Squad UK is the second TV series Spin-Off of Odd Squad, following Odd Squad: Mobile Unit. Produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment with the assistance of BBC Studios Kids & Family and created by Tim McKeon and Adam Peltzman, it is set to premiere in late 2024 on CBBC, PBS Kidsnote , and TVO Kids, and has 12 episodes in total.

It features Orli, an Odd Squad agent working in Niagara Falls who is ripped from her home to help fight the rapidly-rising oddness rates in the United Kingdom. She is partnered up with British agent Ozzie, working under Captain O, an Odd Squad Director who is obsessed with the water as well as anything nautical. Also joining her are Agent Onom, a quirky Scientist, and Agent Orwell, a Security agent who is rather deadpan.

The series was made in response to the massive popularity of Odd Squad in the United Kingdom, where it consistently does well in ratings and sits in the top five of shows on CBBC. Mark De Angelis, who was the showrunner for Odd Squad Mobile Unit, wrote the pilot for the series and is a creative consultant, no longer being in a showrunning role.

Tropes:

  • Breaking Old Trends: Inverted. Compared to Odd Squad and Odd Squad: Mobile Unit, this series goes back to the former's formula of focusing on two Investigation agents, an Odd Squad Director, and a Scientist, but also adds a few twists such as the addition of a Food and Beverage worker, a Security agent, and an agent in an entirely new department.
  • Britcom: While Odd Squad was initially a Work Com, this series puts a twist on the trope by having it take place in the United Kingdom.
  • British Brevity: Odd Squad UK is set to run for 12 episodes (or 24 11-minute episodes), but the people working on the show are completely open to making more episodes if given the opportunity.
