SPOILERS WARNING: Due to his nature as a Walking Spoiler, all of the tropes regarding Marcus in this page are unmarked. You Have Been Warned!

Marcus Alexander "The Kane" McGee-Sakurada

Appearances: XP4 Heroes Coalition - Kick Off! | XP4 Heroes Coalition - Neo-City Diaries | XP4 Heroes Coalition - Mission Chronicles | XP4 Heroes Coalition - Strike Witches

"I'm not really good of being a leader, sure there are times I can say decent orders but how I execute it, is my flaw. But that doesn't mean that I can't correct it, like a friend of mine said, choosing a leader is easy but creating a leader is much better, and I'm doing just that... I'm learning to become leader from experience whether in success or failure, as long as I can learn then I know I can become a good leader."
— Marcus to XY Girl about his path to leadership.

The Hero of Heroes Coalition.
The icon of Heroes Coalition. The Lost Orphaned Royalty of Sakurada Kingdom. The lost man whisked away into Peach Creek.

Marcus, for all intents and purposes, is a hero with a rather Dark and Troubled Past hidden underneath his facade of outlandishly childish personalities. Descending from a line of Abusive Parents during his childhood, Marcus and his older sister Aria (also known as Arinah) were orphans residing in an Orphanage of Fear, which turned out to be a front for a much more sinister purpose: a research facility used to create Child Soldiers between the ages of eleven to twelve, used as part of a Red Shirt Army to destroy invading aliens but in reality he and the rest are merely being used as sacrifices to the end by a group of scientists.

Marcus and his fellow Child Soldiers murdered the personnel inside and destroyed the facility, leaving it to ruin for good. Both separated after the horrifying ordeal to go on their ventures, but Marcus later reunited with Arinah, who subsequently appeared in the Sakurada Kingdom, a grand kingdom where they are distanced away form the horrors of the orphanage they once were. The king of Sakurada Kingdom, Soichirou Sakarada, as well as his wife and queen Satsuki adopted both of them, where they are both automatically becoming members of the Sakurada Royal Family.

And yet... Another bizarre incident happens again, where Marcus was grabbed by a mysterious blue hand from the sky, causing him to be sucked away and thrown into Peach Creek, causing most of his memories wiped out. Eventually, he was later adopted to another family yet again, only this time he is adopted with the McGee family, most notably with Eddy Skipper McGee as his surrogate brother, playing a major role in Eddy's major life-changing moment. In the faithful present, Marcus and his adopted brother Eddy are members of the Heroes Coalition, a huge multiversal hero organization dedicated to protect the multiverse against various threats.

  • Abusive Parents: While not explicitly shown, it is clear that Marcus and his sister were both abandoned by their parents. But how did it happen is unknown since his past life during his childhood is hazy.
  • Anti-Hero: Often skirts the line between his genuine heroism and within this trope. Marcus is reputably known for being a Jerkass, which are traits largely influenced by his younger adopted brother Eddy.
  • Anti-Role Model: While heroics is what he is often known for and is willing to put his life on line to protect the people he cares for, being a role model to be looked up for by others is another story. Due to his completely outlandish personality, absolutely no one looks up for him as a role model. Ironically, these traits are mostly because of meeting Eddy during the time of being whisked away to Peach Creek, where Marcus was responsible for the changed man Eddy has become.
  • The Hero: He is the main protagonist of the Heroes Coalition series.
