  • During the theft, Chopper is distracted by a matching droid ambulatory strut put on sale by a local vendor. In an attempt to purchase (and instead, stealing) the strut, the astromech is left behind by the Ghost crew on Horizon Base. • Six months after the events of the mission to Malachor in 3 BBY, the Ghost crew and Phoenix Squadron free Hondo Ohnaka from an Imperial prison on Naraka for intel on Reklem Station, an Imperial station holding defunct Y-Wings from the Clone Wars. His cellmate, Terba is killed during the escape. Ezra Bridger is promoted to Lieutenant Commander, but invoking several risks including showing hostility to the Mining Guild, changing the reconnaissance mission to Reklem Station into a retrieval mission for the Y-Wings, and risking the lives of several rebels including himself over Yarma and the fall of Reklem Station, the destruction of the Phantom shuttle, his leadership is temporarily revoked.
  • Kanan Jarrus returns to action after reawakening the neutral-sided Bendu in the Atollon wilderness and learns to become dependent on the Force and his other senses to make up for his lack of vision. • Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin assigns the recently-promoted Grand Admiral Thrawn and his Star Destroyer, the Chimaera, alongside the Seventh Fleet, to the hunt for the Ghost crew and Phoenix Squadron, as per requested by Lothal Governor Arihnda Pryce. Thrawn correctly deduces that the rebels freed Ohnaka in order to journey to Reklem Station and thus sends a group of Imperials to apprehend the rebels over Yarma. However, he orders his forces to pull out, wishing to eliminate a larger number of the rebel fleet instead of eliminating a mere skirmish.
  • An unknown amount of time later, Darth Maul attacks a Hammerhead, leaving a Sole Survivor, and later holds Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla, Garazeb Orrelios, and Chopper in the Ghost hostage at his former Mandalorian Death Watch supercommando base, Vizsla Keep 09. He contacts Phoenix Squadron for a ransom of Ezra and the Sith Holocron.
  • Jarrus introduces Bridger to the Bendu. The Bendu has the duo successfully undergo a trial to retrieve the Sith Holocron and reveals a previous incident in which a Force-user had attempted to see the future by merging a Jedi Holocron and a Sith Holocron, warning the duo of what may occur if they do the same with Maul.
  • Jarrus and Bridger meet Maul at Vizsla Keep 09. An attempt is made on Jarrus's life, but he survives and frees the other Spectres. Maul and Bridger attempt the Holocron fusion, but Bridger cuts it off before the vision can finish. Maul describes how he saw Obi-Wan Kenobi and leaves in a Mandalorian fighter disoriented, while Bridger describes how he saw 'twin suns' and worlds he had previously seen during his life.
  • Disillusioned Imperial Skystrike Flight Academy cadet Wedge Antilles, alongside fellow cadets Derek "Hobbie" Klivian and Rake Gahree, anonymously attempts to transmit a distress call to the Rebellion. Communication monitoring by the Imperial Security Bureau intercepts this call, but Agent Kallus, under the moniker of Fulcrum, creates a message to the rebels at Chopper Base, informing them of anonymous cadets at the Skystrike Academy that wish to defect.
  • TIE Interceptor Captain Vult Skerris leads a squadron that demolishes a rebel food supply transport escorted by Phoenix Squadron on the way to Teralov.

  • Governor Pryce and Agent Kallus arrive to investigate Skystrike's cadets for dissidents, as informed by ISB intel. Pryce discovers the four cadets and has Skerris randomly kill one to prove a point, choosing Gahree.
  • Wren is discovered to be the extractor and Pryce attempts to interrogate her. Wren escapes and frees the remaining cadets. Kallus allows them to escape and advises them where to go under the pretense that he is doing it to 'make it even' with Orrelios, but secretly also in part of being a rebel sympathizer and a Fulcrum.
  • Despite being chased by Skerris, the cadets escape in a TIE Bomber and are rescued by Bridger, Jarrus, and Phoenix Squadron over Montross. Antilles and Klivian join Phoenix Squadron as A-Wing pilots.
  • Before a supply drop to Ryloth, the Tann Province is occupied by Imperials.
  • An unknown amount of time later, the Ghost crew makes a supply drop to Ryloth and the Free Ryloth Movement. General Syndulla reveals to the crew about his family's province, the Tann Province, being recently occupied by Captain Slavin and his Imperials. Captain Syndulla wishes to retrieve her family's Kalikori from the Syndulla Estate in memory of her mother.
  • Bridger, Chopper, and Captain Syndulla infiltrate the Imperial-occupied Syndulla Estate undercover as a Scout Trooper, an Imperial astromech, and a servant respectively, while members of Free Ryloth led by General Syndulla and the remaining members of the Ghost crew distract Imperial forces from Lessu to help the infiltration.
  • Syndulla initially retrieves the Kalikori, but hers and Bridger's covers are discovered by a visiting Thrawn, who was coincidentally there to learn more about the Syndulla family. Thrawn takes the Kalikori for himself. Chopper is later ordered by Captain Syndulla to plant bombs in the building.
  • Slavin attempts a hostage exchange of Captain Syndulla for her father, but the deal is broken when Chopper blows up the estate per Captain Syndulla's orders. All rebels on the scene escape, with Thrawn allowing them to leave with their victory, having gained more information on Captain Syndulla.
  • An unknown amount of time later, Captain Rex, Bridger, Jarrus, Orrelios, and Chopper are left on Agamar, tasked with scavenging the seemingly abandoned and crashed Separatist ship for resources and proton bombs to be used to destroy the factories on Lothal. They are ambushed by active battle droids led by Super Tactical Droid General Kalani, who refused to relay the shutdown command issued after Order 66 to his unit.
  • Kalani holds Orrelios hostage, wanting to re-enact
  • Wren and Syndulla take from a fuel depot but are attacked by Imperial forces led by Pryce, Kallus, and Konstantine. At the same time, the Imperials pick up Chopper's distress signal, and Pryce orders the local garrison near Agamar to deploy their forces there.
  • The squad gain an upper-hand due to the battle droids being outdated. Kalani attempts to win by threatening Orrelios, but Bridger is able to talk down both his and Rex's parties, noting that neither side won in the Clone Wars. Both sides team up against the arriving Imperial forces in an attempt to flee. A number of battle droids are lost when an AT-AT walker shoots down one of three Sheathipede shuttles containing several of them.
  • The two parties part ways, Kalani and some battle droids leaving to parts unknown. The rebels reunite with Wren and Syndulla. The new shuttle is dubbed the Phantom II.
