Wick Check input (all examples)

  1. Characters.Patapon: Shuraba Yapon, who doesn't even have an orchestra. All he has is a single student, who is a giant bell that does a ballet-like dance at his command.
  2. Characters.Cadence Of Hyrule: He swings his baton more like a wand, since it doesn't follow a particular beat or rhythm during his boss fight. Though in a bit of a twist on actual conducting, he only raises his baton not to indicate a new beat or measure (as you would in Real Life), but to indicate that he's about to teleport and repeat another barrage of attacks on you.
  3. Characters.Charlie And The Chocolate Factory Willy Wonka: His "conducting" of the Act Two entr'acte, especially once he starts shouting at the orchestra to play faster after he checks his pocketwatch.
  4. Characters.Granblue Fantasy Evokers: Though Judgement does provide some of the sound, Katzelia mostly conducts to an invisible orchestra in battle.
  5. Characters.Hyrule Warriors Hyrulean Forces: With her Baton moveset, she wields the Wind Waker, complete with generating tornadoes with the sound!
  6. Characters.Olimars Alimony Secondary Characters: Conducts a ghostly orchestra to provide musical backing to Peanut's performance.
  7. Characters.Phantasy Star Online 2 Classes: Harmonizers resemble a conductor's baton, and the Summoner waves them like one to direct their pets.
  8. Characters.Suikoden V Sol Falena: The elves certainly qualify Cornelio.
  9. Characters.SWAP Ensemble: In Day 10, it is revealed that Caroline can control the music that the ensemble makes. The entire ensemble, starting with Cassie, messes around except for Paris. While Caroline is conducting, the music looks distorted on one end of her baton but perfectly fine on the other. When she puts the baton down in frustration, Philyra and Paris can finally hear the cacophony that the band is creating.
  10. Characters. The 7 D: Taken to a logical extreme in "The Jollywood Jam", where his conductor baton is accidentally swapped with Grim's new wand, magically putting his band in different costumes and locations. He was also able to make a group of screaming hills sing with a stick as a baton.
  11. Characters. The Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild Hylians And Sheikah: Inverted. Mastro swings his baton around a random while the others perform. When you talk to him during a performance, he is worried how the troupe can perform without his conducting, only to realize they're playing as usual. Violynne tells Link that he has no melodic sense, but he is nonetheless important for the troupe's morale and devoted to bringing joy to people through music.
  12. Characters.Woody Woodpecker: He takes this role in the Musical Miniature shorts "The Overture to William Tell" and "Kiddie Concert".
  13. Film.Twin Dragons: Invoked in the scene where Boomer had to conduct an orchestra on John's behalf while John is busy in a vehicle chase. Due to Synchronization, John's rapid movements behind the wheel translates to Boomer kicking, punching and fighting thin air as well as summersaulting in the middle of an orchestra. And the audience loves it!
  14. LooneyTunes.Tropes A To C: Seen in "Long-Haired Hare" and "Baton Bunny".
  15. Music.Henry Mancini: Creator Cameo: Appears As Himself in The Pink Panther short "Pink, Plunk, Plink", which ends with the Panther acting as a Cartoon Conductor playing his famous theme. In contrast to the uproarious applause heard earlier, by the end there is only one person in the audience, and that person happens to be Mancini himself, so of course he approved the performance.
  16. Recap.Columbo S 02 E 01: Alex waves his baton around in an extremely unconvincing manner.
  17. Recap.Fraggle Rock S 2 E 5 Uncle Matt Comes Home: Gillis conducts a group of Fraggles singing "The Whoopee Cantata (aka "Welcome Back, Uncle Matt"). Some of them sing it while bouncing on pogo sticks.
  18. Recap.Mickey Mouse S 4 E 11 The Perfect Dream: Mickey conducts the noises to provide musical accompaniment for his singing.
  19. Recap. The 7 DS 1 E 24 The Rock Of Sages: Chekhov's Skill: As stated by Doc, Lord Grudgemunger needed the 7D's (sans Doc) skills to get the Rock of Sages, for example:Sneezy's sneeze helped him find the green gem in the Black Diamond Dunes. Sleepy found the blue gem after taking a brief nap only to find a lump in it prompting him to search in the Leaning Tower of Mattresses. Dopey found the orange gem thanks to his Plucky Comic Relief and ability to talk with animals. Bashful's Chameleon Camouflage helped him get the violet gem. Happy's ability to conduct helped him get the yellow gem. Grumpy's Hair-Trigger Temper helped him get the red gem.
  20. Series.Baby Einstein: The koala in certain re-releases of Baby Mozart.
  21. Series.Colgate Comedy Hour: A common Martin and Lewis sketch would involve Dean trying to sing a number while Jerry clowns about as he "conducts" the orchestra. (Their musical director Dick Stabile can sometimes be seen off to the side actually conducting the orchestra.)
  22. Series.Mr Bean: Done in "Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean", where Bean conducts a Salvation Army brass band playing "God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen" using a highly complex series of gestures, including fast twitchy movements to indicate a light tempo, sweeps for a more Wagnerian feel, and a funky pace to turn it into a jazz number. It culminates in him modifying the volume by making a gesture indicative of turning down a volume dial on a radio, making the band stop playing. He continues conducting, but nothing is heard until he remembers to turn the band on again.
  23. TomAndJerry.Tropes A To M: "Carmen Get It", directed by Gene Deitch, takes the "switching sheet music" gag to ridiculous extremes. As Tom tries to conduct an orchestra, he fails to realize that his sheet music is actually a blank page covered by an army of ants. As the ants repeatedly switch into different patterns, the orchestra correspondingly switches to a random song, causing Tom much confusion. Tom first entered the concert in that cartoon as a musician trying to flush Jerry out of a hole so he can capture him, only to migrate to the conductor's stand later, much to the ire of the actual conductor. Tom actually was employed as a conductor in 1950's Tom And Jerry In The Hollywood Bowl. At one point, Jerry crawls into the actual conductor's suit, making him dance around in a way vaguely resembling the Twist and causing the orchestra to play in an appropriate tempo.
  24. UsefulNotes.Mii: When the curtains are closed there's a chance that the Mii will twirl a baton.
  25. VideoGame.Kingdom Hearts 3 D Dream Drop Distance: Sora and Riku spend an entire level searching for a magical power that specifically allows him to conjure music from thin air just by waving their weapons like a baton.
  26. Webcomic.Complicatedness: Ness is one.
  27. WesternAnimation.Bugs Bunny: In "Long-Haired Hare" and "Baton Bunny".
  28. WesternAnimation.Camp Lazlo: Edward conducts a belching orchestra in front of his brothers, and meant for Clam to start singing operatically until Lazlo makes the piece more fun.
  29. WesternAnimation.Claymation Christmas Celebration: Quasimodo, the conductor of the anthropomorphic bells. At the end of the piece, to get the proper note from the bell that lost his hammer, Quasimodo hits the bell with a projectile from his slingshot.
  30. WesternAnimation.High Note: Goes on a frantic chase trying to haul down the drunk note.
  31. WesternAnimation.Long Haired Hare: As "Leopold!" (Stokowski), Bugs has amazing control over the orchestra and Jones — and even the audience!
  32. WesternAnimation.Magical Maestro: Expected when you're using a magic wand as a conductor's baton.
  33. WesternAnimation.Mickey Mouse: Mickey takes this role in The Band Concert.
  34. WesternAnimation.Rhapsody In Rivets: The foreman conducts his crew, with all the standard dramatic gestures of a cartoon conductor.
  35. WesternAnimation.Slick Hare: Leopold Stokowski, who instead of conducting an orchestra, puts money on a jukebox and waves his baton at it.
  36. WesternAnimation.Tex Avery MGM Cartoons: In "Magical Maestro", a magician switches places with a conductor so he can get revenge on a performer during a concert, who disallowed the magician as an opening act. Since the magician was using a magic wand for a baton, he not only had Cartoon Conductor power over the orchestra, he could also physically change the performer into whatever embarrassing form he wanted.
  37. WesternAnimation. The Band Concert: Several variations. Mickey shaking out a scoop of ice-cream down his shirt causes the band to break into "The Streets of Cairo". Then when he swats at a bee during a slow section, the band plays faster. Finally, as they are swirling inside a tornado, Mickey motions the band to stop, and the tornado itself stops.
  38. WesternAnimation. The Fox And The Crow: Fauntleroy in "The Magic Fluke", thanks to his baton being replaced by a magician's wand.
  39. WesternAnimation. The Magic Fluke: Rather than follow their sheet music, the orchestra wildly veers between different pieces as the Fox creates havoc with his baton. At one point the baton turns into a Yale pennant and the orchestra starts playing the Yale fight song.
  40. WesternAnimation. The Poet And Peasant: Andy waves his arms around in the standard frantic manner.
