    Born in an actual elevator
  1. Instant Birth: Just Add Labor!: Bonus points if 'right there' is somewhere extremely cramped, uncomfortable or inaccessible (say, an elevator) and 'right then' is precisely when it will be least convenient for her or any other bystanders (such as when the aforementioned elevator has stopped working).
  2. Series.Saved By The Bell: Zack Belding. Guess who attended the birth? ZCE but the trope's page image suggests this was literal.
  3. Recap. All In The Family S 2 E 14 The Elevator Story: The elevator car stops, a Hispanic woman goes into labor ... and this baby isn't waiting to make his entry into the world.
  4. Series. The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody: The Christmas Episode featured a couple named Mary and Joseph, and Mary gave birth in the Tipton elevator on Christmas Eve. And since the show takes place in a hotel, there was "no room at the inn". Everyone noticed the coincidence and hung a lampshade on it, except for London who didn't get it.

Born in a vehicle on the way to hospital
  1. WesternAnimation.Life With Louie: While explaining why he wants so desperately to keep fixing the Rambler rather than buy a new car, Andy explains that Louie and one of his other siblings were born in the back seat at the drive-in.
  2. Series.Home Improvement: A variation. In "The Tool Man Delivers", Heidi goes into labor while she, Tim and Jill are driving to an awards dinner and she gives birth in a roadside gas station. Tim becomes the Delivery Guy.

Born en route to hospital in some other way

Born at another inopportune time (covered by Maternity Crisis)
  1. Series.Stargate Atlantis: Wrong Genre Savvy: In "Quarantine", when Sheppard is locked in a room with the pregnant Teyla he becomes concerned since, in the movies, the pregnant woman always goes into labour in that scenario. However, since this is a sci-fi adventure instead of a romantic comedy or personal drama, her baby waits for a later episode.
Sheppard: It's just that, every time one of these things happens in the movies, the pregnant woman goes into labor.
Teyla: I am still a long way from my due date.
Sheppard: Yeah, it's the same thing in the movies and then, wham.
  • Series.Night Court: Second bullet point. Harry was born in a mental institution. Explains a lot, doesn't it?

    Unsure / not enough context
  1. Recap.Justice League Unlimited S 1 E 7 The Greatest Story Never Told: This seems like an easy enough task but due to environmental factors, medical emergencies, and plain ol' idiocy, it takes Booster a while to complete it.
  2. Series.Night Court: First bullet point. Christine's son in the seventh season finale.
  3. Series.Doogie Howser MD: Vinnie's French teacher's baby.
