Sandbox / Aggressive Submissive Wick Check

Go To

All the ones that didn't lacked much context. None had context but didn't fit.

Powerful People Are Subs that could just as easily be Aggressive Submissive
  1. The Authority: Implied with Apollo. Despite being the Superman Substitute of the team, Apollo seems to be the submissive in his relationship with Midnighter.
  2. The Losers: Aisha follows her target (the immensely feared warden of a Hellhole Prison) to the brothel where he goes to be dominated. She waits until the dominatrix has his tied up before entering, chases the woman out, and takes a moment to note the irony of a man who is so feared and has literally decided if others live or die on a whim being in such a predicament. Then she goes to work on him Jack Bauer style.
  3. Jason X: The sleazy college professor is not only shown to be seduced by one of his students in exchange for a higher grade, but dresses up as a woman and engages in submissive roleplay.
  4. Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005): Jane disguises herself as a dominatrix to get close to a mob boss. He likes it when she ties him up and whips him, not so much when she breaks his neck and escapes out the window.
  5. The General's Daughter: Colonel Moore is shown to have been the submissive party in the late Elizabeth's BDSM play, inverting their official mentor-protegé relationship.
  6. Captive Prince: Suggested with regards to Lady Vannes when Damen meets her pet, Talik.
Damen recalled someone saying that Vannes liked pets who could sweep the ring competitions. Talik was almost as tall as Damen, her bare arms well muscled. [...] Damen had assumed that pets, like slaves, were sexually submissive to their masters, as was the custom in Akielos. But he could only guess at the arrangements between Vannes and this woman in bed.
  7. Cryptonomicon: An extremely wealthy character known only as "The Dentist" opposes the protagonists because he is a submissive under the control of his Filipino dominatrix wife, who in turn takes orders from conspirators opposing the protagonists' attempt to recover gold stolen by Those Wacky Nazis and create an Internet data haven.
  8. New Jedi Order': There's a joke about this from Luke and Mara of all people in Destiny's Way'' after Luke has a less-than-productive meeting with Fyor Rodan, a New Republic politician who wants changes in the Jedi Order's role in the war.note
Luke: He kept calling me "Skywalker". Because I don't have a title—I'm not a senator, I'm not a general any longer, I'm not an ambassador. He used the word like an insult.
Mara: He could have called you "Master". Like I do sometimes.
Luke: I don't think it would be the same as when you do it.
Mara: It better not be... Skywalker.
  9. Queen of Zazzau: Amina is a princess, later a queen, but her lover is the Hausa War God. Their first time together (a couple pages after agreeing to the pact) has definite BDSM tones, with Dafaru choking her and Amina referring to enjoying her own humiliation.
  10. Tales from Netheredge: Runi Assam. Word of God says that, having been saddled with a lot of responsibility from a very young age, he finds the experience of giving up control thrilling.
  11. The Interns S 12 E 13: After learning that Bykov is heavily bored, Kupitman suggests Kisegach to try BDSM — after all, this is known fact that people who're dominant in everyday life, would want to do something different in their sex life. The plan heavily backfires, because when Bykov sees Kisegach in dominatrix cop outfit... he laughs so hard, he has a heart attack. Fortunately, he survives.
  12. Feel Good: George, a high school teacher by profession and generally sane and responsible, is this in the bedroom. Mae lampshades it when she's amused by the fact that George's new boyfriend Elliot wants to talk about his feelings.
Mae: You hate talking about your feelings! Doesn't he know that you just want to get pushed around like a slutty bag of beans?
  13. Forever (2014): Invoked in-universe with the victim in "The Ecstasy of Agony." The victim was a high-powered executive in a job where any weakness will be exploited. In his private life, he went to a domination therapist where he could let go and let someone else be in charge.
  14. Las Vegas: At one point, based on some suggestive camera footage they stumble across, Danny and Mike (mistakenly) believe that their boss Ed, a hard-ass ex-CIA agent who runs the casino, was having an affair with Monica Mancuso, an ill-tempered Gold Digger who bought the casino and regularly feuded with Ed. In an Imagine Spot, both Ed and Monica are in turn portrayed as submissives to the other behind closed doors.
  15. Nip/Tuck: A powerful CEO who comes into the practice for surgery turns out to be the sub to a ridiculously aggressive dominatrix. Sean walks in on the guy being tortured with fish hooks, and immediately threatens to call the cops. The man claims it's a way to punish himself for having to fire people constantly.
  16. Silent Witness: In "Change", the Body of the Week is a wealthy CEO whose secretary tries to cover up that he liked being tied up, gagged and whipped in the bedroom to avoid tarnishing his reputation.
  17. Succession: Played with. Roman is extremely wealthy and (in theory) powerful, but is constantly mocked and undermined by his family and those around him. He gets out his...frustrations by being mocked and dominated by Gerri and his personal trainer.
  18. The Alienist:
    • Kreizler is an ambitious psychiatrist and quite a high-ranking member of the New York society, but there are some hints that he enjoys a submissive role in romantic relationships. This shows up in his conversation with the professional dominatrix Mrs. Williams (he mentions that he enjoyed her stories of "men's vulnerabilities"), and in his relationship with Karen Stratton, who takes him to various kinky places. His relationship with Mary also has strong undertones of this kind: he is highly dependent on her due to his bad arm, and she enjoys his timidity whenever he needs her to do something for him (and whenever he pisses her off, she just leaves him on his own, and he cannot even tie his own shoelaces without her). Besides, while Mary was away, he sneaked to her room to sniff her clothes.
    • There is also the unnamed brewery foreman who is one of Mrs. Williams' clients. In her own words, he's "used to giving orders", but "in here, he prefers taking them".
  19. The Punisher (2017): Colonel Morty Bennett commands a base of troops by day, but at night, he engages in submissive roleplay with a dominatrix.
  20. Twin Peaks: Ben Horne is one of the richest and most powerful people in Twin Peaks. He also has a markedly submissive relationship with Catherine Martell that involves him kissing her feet and her behaving condescendingly towards him.
  21. Curvy: Wexler is a gun-toting, testosterone-poisoned secret agent, but he has a tendency to get into (and enjoy) very submissive sexual situations, such as with Mallory.
  22. A Thorn Amongst The Flowers: The fearsome Demon Emperor is very happy to let his First Consort tie him with rope and verbally abuse him when they're in the bedroom.
  23. I Hope You're Prepared For An Unforgettable Wedding!: Subverted with Principal Skinner. He's in a position of authority (the principal of Springfield Elementary) and the third chapter shows that he's completely submissive in the bedroom. But then again, on the show, it's established that Skinner is an Extreme Doormat towards authority figures in his life, and in this fic, he's in a romantic relationship with his boss.
  24. Kaleidoscopic Grangers: In Chapter 284, We Could Be Heroes (part 3), Ariadne quite enjoys Ginny telling her what to do - she is used to people looking to her for the answers, and so likes "letting Ginny boss her around."
