  • Atomic Blonde. Percival is quite pleased that Lorraine knows Machiavelli well enough to quote him. The quote in question "It's a double pleasure to deceive the deceiver" becomes an Ironic Echo later in the film.
  • How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom: Main character Kazuya Souma uses this book to implement his realist politics ever since he was summoned to a fantasy world and made the king. This makes sense, as he is an aspiring civil servant.
  • Titans (2018). In "Jason Todd", Bruce Wayne is shown to have a painting of Machiavelli. On seeing it, Dick Grayson quotes what he said on the subject of revenge.
  • In the novelization of V (1983), a Visitor notes that Eleanor Dupres is reading the book—describing it as a guide to success through political intrigue—and warns her about getting ideas.
  • The BBC series Timewatch had an episode Memo from Machiavelli: How to Succeed in British Politics on the relevance of Machiavelli's ideas in modern politics. Quotes from The Prince were narrated by Ian Richardson channeling his Francis Urquhart persona.
  • The Fugitive. Richard Kimble is accused by a woman of using Julius Caesar's Divide and Conquer tactic against them. Kimble corrects her, "Divide and rule—it was Machiavelli."
