- The Fallen Angel: Deeply inspired by The Renaissance as he was, Alexandre Cabanel got the idea of depicting a muscular, contorted man covering his lower face with his arm from the "Day" sculpture found in the "New Sacristy" mausoleum.
- Palace Of Fontainebleau: Benvenuto Cellini's bronze casting of a Nymph owes its pose to the "Dawn" statue. Although the "Nymph" is certainly more relaxed, her posture is nearly identical to "Dawn", with most of her weight resting on her arm and her face tilted in that arm's direction.
- Times Of Day: William-Adolphe Bouguereau retakes Michelangelo's idea of depicting the dawn, day, dusk, and night as Anthropomorphic Personifications. Although, this time it's a series of paintings and all of them are women.
