Van, Fiona and Zeke encounter the mercenary (from the previous episode) named Irvine, who was hired to protect a village from the same group of bandits who was chasing after Zeke earlier.
- What Were You Thinking?: Van wasn't too happy when he found out that Fiona emptied out their water supply (earlier on he added a pricey special protein boost mix to the water) because she found that it 'smelt bad'.
- Tempting Fate: Van thought he took out Rosso's Red Horn out of commission with the aquifer trap. Unfortunately he had to be saved by Irvine, much to the boy's chagrin.
