Chapter 52: Yuuna-san and a Uniform Date
With Christmas just around the corner, Kogarashi asks Yuuna to go out with him to help search for gifts. Yunna agrees to go with him as if they're on a date, and even possesses a Yuuna-body transformed by Koyuzu to go along with Kogarashi as if he's traveling with a normal girl. The two of them deal with the crowded cars of the train, which tires them out to the point of having a shareable meal together before checking out the shopping center. Afterwards, Kogarashi and Yuuna spend some time in the shopping center having fun until Yuuna's attention is brought to a fortune teller stall. Said fortune teller introduces herself as a psychic named Ryuuzen, and is someone that can tell Yuuna is an earthbound spirit currently within a fake body. Yuuna admits that she's been stuck on Earth due to her memory loss making it impossible to remember what her biggest regret is, which Ryuuzen prepares her crystal ball called Nous, and asks if Yuuna would like to have her past revealed to her.
Chapter 53: Yuuna-san While She was Alive
Ryuuzen explains to Kogarashi and Yuuna how her fortune teller powers work, which is that one of her eyes is the Laplace's Demon Eye that gathers up information of a person's history. Said information is then put within her Crystal Ball, Nous, to create images that would show glimpses of a person's past. Ryuuzen first shows off her power on a compatibility test that Yuuna wrote answers down on to reveal that she actually has a 95% compatibility with Kogarashi. The fortune teller then begins to look into Yuuna's past. With the help of Nous, Ryuuzen figures out that Yuuna currently resides at Yuragi Inn, which Yuuna reveals that the earliest date she remembers was a Fall day from 16 years ago. The Nous crystal ball only finds her memories of when Yuuna started living with Chitose and company, which Ryuuzen figures that they should search for spiritual fingerprints that were left behind by Yuuna at other locations before arriving at the Inn. Nous increases the sight range beyond the inn, and manages to locate at another location a sick looking black-haired girl in a wheelchair that bares a striking resemblance to Yuuna. However, Nous was unable to investigate any further. Some time after, Kogarashi and Yuuna wrapped up buying Christmas presents before returning to the fortune teller. Ryuuzen reveals that she did further investigations into Yuuna's story while they were shopping, and discovered that Yuuna's real life self didn't actually die at Yuragi Inn, but somehow got spirit bound to the inn anyway. The fortune teller gives up for now admitting that she doesn't understand what's going on, but figures that there must be something special about Yuragi Inn that's keeping Yuuna from passing on. Along the way home, Kogarashi makes it clear that he has no intention of making Yuuna pass on to the afterlife any time soon. In return, Yuuna shows off her Christmas present to Kogarashi, which is a scarf she knitted herself.
