Chapter 42: Yuuna-san in the Cultural Festival

With the school Cultural Festival just a day away, the Yukemuri High students spend the night setting everything up. Kogarashi and Yuuna help prepare for the play that will be taking after the "Little Mermaid" story, but Yuuna's paranormal activity winds up acting up again after ending up in another embarrassing situation. Despite the students being used to it at this point, the teacher watching over their work is still too stubborn to admit it. That changes when Yuuna catches a toolbox before it falls upon the teacher. Afterwards, Yuuna goes about befriending each of the students since she's proven herself to be a friendly spirit. The student directing the play realizes the potential of having a spirit around, and asks if it would be possible to get Yuuna to play the mermaid.

Chapter 43: Sagiri-san Flips in the Cultural Festival

The next day, the school Cultural Festival begins. The residents of Yuragi Inn arrive to enjoy the festival while Kogarashi's group go off on their own. Kogarashi and Hibari check out the fortune teller booth run by Urara, which she plays her part by acting like she can see that Hibari is worried about her breasts, and that Kogarashi is worried about his money debt. Afterwards, Kogarashi is forced to sub in for a festival cook that got burned while Hibari heads off to practice for the "Little Mermaid" play. Meanwhile, the Yuragi Inn residents visit the festival's maid café only to see that Sagiri ended up with the task as one of the maid servers. Two thugs attempt to take advantage of Sagiri in her maid uniform, but before she could exact revenge on them, the thugs are chased off by Kogarashi when they realize that they met him in a previous encounter. Some time after, the "Little Mermaid" play is about ready to perform with Chisaki, Yuuna and Hibari in the lead roles.

Chapter 44: The Mermaid Princess and Yuuna-san

In front of a large audience, the "Little Mermaid" play begins. At times Yuuna puts on a Hibari mask while in mermaid uniform to make it look like some scenes have the Hibari swimming around in the air. The play continues without a hitch until Hibari accidentally trips on the stairs backstage, and knocks herself out. Yuuna steps in to fill in for the mermaid role completely being the only one that fully memorized Hibari's lines, and continues the play to the moment when she claims that she should disappear so that the human prince and princess can be together. Chisaki as the princess ends up viewing this as Yuuna feeling that she's better off disappearing from Kogarashi's life, and winds up going off-script to make it clear to Yuuna that her friends will be lonely if she disappears, and that they will find a way to save her. Following the festival, Hibari wakes up fine in the infirmary, and Yuuna has a moment about Kogarashi hoping that the world will permit her to continue being with the man she loves.
