Bearing the hopes and wishes of his allies, Playmaker faces off against Bohman. Meanwhile, something abnormal happens to the people who were trapped in LINK VRAINS, and they start to fall unconscious. Bohman then creates a powerful Data Storm and summons forth a terrifying Link Monster.
This episode contains the following tropes:
- Hypocrite: Ai accuses Bohman of being one, pointing out that he took issue with Lightning using Jin as a shield to dissuade Revolver from landing the finishing blow, yet has no problem with using the consciousness of humans to create a Neuron Link for his own needs. Bohman calmly brushes off those accusations, however, by saying that creating a Neuron Link was just a part of his abilities to use in the Duel, and he was not using it to prevent Playmaker from fighting him.
- Pet the Dog: Bohman unlocks the explosive collars on Frog and Pigeon, thus they're no longer forced to stick around and film the Duel. Despite this, Frog remains to film the Duel while also clipping the collar back on, for no apparent reason.
- Too Dumb to Live: After Bohman releases Yamamoto and Pigeon, Yamamoto refuses to leave and puts the explosive collar back on. Apparently it never occurred to him that he could just leave it off and still stay to keep filming.
- Wham Shot: Bohman Link Summoning a Link 5 Monster, "Chimera Hydradrive Dragrid", to the shock of everyone.
