The third Shadow Rider has made their appearance and selects Bastion as her opponent.
- Cargo Ship: In-universe, Syrus and Chumley have card crushes on Thunder Nyan Nyan and Dian Keto the Cure Master respectively. Bastion later get distracted by White Magician Pikeru.
- Designated Girl Fight: Defied. Tanya decides not to harm a "sister" and doesn't consider Alexis in her line-up of opponents.
- Dishing Out Dirt: Bastion uses his Earth deck.
- Distracted by the Sexy: Bastion, oh so much. With Tanya talking about love and them getting married after the duel, he starts making some very rookie mistakes despite his initial lack of interest.
- Engagement Challenge: Tanya's conditions are that if Bastion loses the duel, instead of losing his soul, he has to marry her.
- Pet the Dog: Tanya pays the Duel Academy students for building her colosseum, except for Crowler who she siccs her pet tiger on when he argues.
- Token Good Teammate: Tanya is merely looking for an opponent who can give her a challenge. Not to plunge the world into chaos like the other Shadow Riders.
