Mary tries hanging out with Brenda (Melissa Peterman). Brenda introduces Mary to two divorced women, who are a little envious of Mary's marriage. As it turns out, Brenda also has a man, but she hasn't told anyone who he is, maybe because he's married. Not at all thinking that man could possibly be George, Mary tells George about Brenda's secret boyfriend.

Worried that Mary could discover his apparent infidelity with Brenda, George talks to Brenda in her chicken coop. Turns out there could be another man in Brenda's life. Brenda asks George if he's jealous.

Meanwhile, Amber (Lucy Loken), a new customer at the video rental store, flirts with Georgie. Mandy (Emily Osment) notices this. Otherwise, Georgie would have been oblivious. Mandy encourages Georgie to go out with Amber. Georgie seeks advice from George Sr. and from Dale (Craig T. Nelson), neither is much help.

Georgie does go out with Amber, and learns she divorced her husband after just one year of marriage. Amber or Georgie more or less hit it off. At Connie's house, Mandy tells Connie that Georgie's out on a date with another woman, but that's okay.

Tropes

  • Love Triangle: This episode might mark the start of a love triangle with Georgie between Amber and Mandy. And his father is in one of those as well, with Mary and Brenda. And if Brenda really does have another boyfriend, the whole thing could turn into a Love Dodecahedron.
  • Mandatory Line: Raegan Revord as Missy has no lines in this episode other than to say she won't be around for the pancake breakfast on Sunday, and to be embarrassed of her mother at the school book fair.
  • Shout-Out: Amber asks Georgie for a recommendation between two movies, one starring John Candy, another with Pauly Shore. Georgie picks Shore, saying that he's so funny Amber will pee herself. Amber later confesses that she didn't find him that funny.
