8 hours remain...
In a stolen military van, Rhonda, Scotty, Arnold and Leanne get to the plane about to take off for Slough, where Larsson, Rajesh and Spike are waiting for them. Rhonda is surprised by the news her mother is still alive, but decides to be happy for now. During the flight, both the guilt-ridden Scotty and the dying Rajesh muse they should not be saved, only to be told otherwise by their significant others.

In Windsor, while sleeping with Hawkwind and Ariel, Frankie hears a voice telling her to go to the church. She wakes up and runs off.
1 hour remains...
Frankie catches up with Paula and Dave, dressed like a bride and a groom, and leads them to the bank, along with Celine. With help from Jamie, they manage to open the vault and set him free. Meanwhile, Frankie tells Celine Jude doesn't want to see her in heaven, because of her baby. Celine drags Frankie into a now-abandoned hospital and, while Frankie starts playing with a prosthetic leg, Celine goes to the bathroom with a pregnancy test. Meanwhile, Hawkwind searches for her in Windsor, and Ariel pretends Sutton has called him and told Frankie's already in the bunker.
In the final hour, debris created by the explosion of the Saviour rocket start falling on Earth. One of the big rocks falls on the hospital. Celine wakes up in the destroyed hospital and, upon seeing her test is positive, starts screaming for help until Jamie pulls her out.
A rock hits the plane coming from Virginia, causing it to crash.
30 minutes remain...
Everybody survived the crash. Leanne, who hadn't fastened her seat belt, and a more trained Larsson help the others free themselves from their seats. Spike finds himself with a metallic pole running through both of his hands, which Larsson effortlessly removes. There is still time to get to the bunker. Rhonda spots a truck, takes Larsson's gun and, after failing to convince the driver to give up the truck, shoots him. They are saved as they board the truck and ride to the bunker, but Rajesh now refuses to look at her.
While driving to the bunker in Dave and Paula's wedding limo, Jamie turns and heads for Windsor instead, to try and find his wife. Meanwhile the latter realizes, due to Ariel's slip of the tongue, that she has been duped. She causes him to crash the car and runs off, leaving him for dead. She then finds herself in Jamie's rear view mirror just as he gives up looking for her.
Jamie and his loved ones drive back to Slough, only to realize that the only bridge across the Thames they can borrow to make it on time has been struck down by falling debris. After Jamie gets desperate and angrily demands Thames to step out of his way... it actually parts, creating a path to the other side for him and his loved ones. Paula now too proclaims Jamie to be the son of God.
10 minutes remain...
Rhonda, Scotty, Arnold, Rajesh, Spike, Leanne and Larsson arrive at the bunker. Scotty refuses to be saved, but Arnold and Rhonda decide otherwise for him. They enter the bunker and are greeted by Mrs Sutton, whom Rhonda angrily tells off. Arnold helps the wounded Scotty sit down by a crate, from which Scotty hears an unhinged female voice telling him to not trust Sutton's pet monkey. Dr Samuel alerts the others that a rock just hit the door, and it doesn't close anymore. Heading outside to inspect the damage, Leanne suggests someone could shut the door by ramming the truck into it, but it would mean the driver would be sacrificing themselves. The dying Rajesh offers to fulfill the role. He bids Rhonda and Spike farewell, and sits at the wheel, but the truck is stuck on something: it doesn't move.
5 minutes remain...
Rajesh notices the arrival of Jamie and his family and calls for help. With Jamie's help, the truck is able to move, and Rajesh rams it into the door after Jamie enters, effectively locking it.
Everyone is in the bunker, but Dr Samuel says they are now too many, to which Sutton suggests they could wait before taking the outsiders out. Leanne spots Jamie and takes Arnold's gun, pointing it at the man she believes to be Ariel. Jamie and Paula manage to calm her down, as Larsson closes the last door, sealing everybody inside. Jamie sits down in front of the television and closes his eyes.
The comet strikes.
As the tearful Rhonda manages to turn away from the security camera feed showing Rajesh sitting outside, the latter hears a voice, that of a naked man crawling on the ground, claiming to be Jamie and desperately asking him to open the door.
Inside the bunker, Ariel, who had managed to replace Jamie one last time while he was helping with the truck, smiles.
The You, Me and the Apocalypse episode "End of Days - The End of the World" provides examples of:
- Foreshadowing: Jamie's opening narration "A few minutes ago, I was a dead man, now I don't know what I am" is a not-so-subtle hint he is actually Ariel, who gets left for dead in the episode itself.
- How We Got Here: Most of the shots shown in the opening credits with the fifteen survivors get explained in these final episodes:
- Rhonda is crying while watching the security feed of Rajesh, who had sacrificed himself to seal the door. Her death row uniform is from having been sentenced to death by an US military court in the previous episode.
- Celine is laughing from happiness, as she holds her positive pregnancy test. She is dressed as a nun again from having seemingly met God the previous day, and didn't get the time to change the clothes since finding out she was pregnant and deciding she wanted to live.
- Scotty wears the military uniform he had to put on while saving his sister. His wound comes from the ensuing shootout, and his look of suspicion is due to having heard the voice from the crate behind him.
- Frankie is playing with a prosthetic leg she found in a hospital while waiting for Celine.
- Dave had lost his eye to Ariel while protecting Frankie.
- His and Paula's formal wear is from their marriage that same morning, and they are dirty from walking on the bottom of the Thames.
- Spike's hands are bleeding after being run through by a pole in a plane crash.
- Arnold had just found a hacksaw he needed to cut Leanne's handcuffs.
- Sutton and Dr Samuel are watching over everyone, planning how to dispose of the outsiders.
- As briefly seen during the transitions from the map into the bunker, a person is also standing higher than the rest, watching over them. It's Larsson.
- The two blurry silhouettes standing far behind Jamie during the opening credits are finally shown to be Layla/Hawkwind and Leanne.
- The only story left untold is that of the person trapped in a crate behind Scotty.
- Finally, Jamie is pantsless due to Ariel having stolen his clothes and trapped him in a vault the night before, and particularly nervous because he is actually Ariel, and who knows what fate waits for him here, especially with Leanne and Sutton wanting him dead...
