Episode 126 False Dawn
Takes place on 8 November 2012.
Paul, thanks to Doctor Mist's assistance, is finally able to determine the location of John Constantine: imprisoned in the Tower of Fate by John Quinn, who was created from part of John.
- Alternate Universe: Avenger!OL runs into the Enchantress and Skurge as they are about to begin their revenge mission against the Masters of Evil. He successfully persuades the Enchantress in changing her approach to winning Thor's heart, getting her and Skurge to work with the Avengers against the Masters of Evil. He later gets the Kree to leave Earth by revealing that a man (Professor X) is dating the Princess of the Shi'ar, so the Kree may have to fight them if they try to conquer Earth.
- Bilingual Bonus: When Tony asks Avenger!OL what he did to get the Kree to leave, Avenger!OL responds by saying "Cuius testiculos habes, habeas cardia et cerebellum." This translates to: "When you have their full attention in your grip, their hearts and minds will follow."Tony: What d'you mean by that?
Avenger!OL: You just have to know what people want. And in his case, it was not getting his habes ripped off. - Call-Back: Paul mentions the time he met a version of himself who knew an alternate version of the Caliph.
- Culture Clash: Paul cites this as one of the problems the Caliph will have when trying to bring his city out of the Dream into the physical world.
- This is best demonstrated when the Caliph and Alan discuss an appropriate punishment for the man who tried to steal Alan's dreams. The former is fine with things like dismemberment, slavery, or outright death, while the latter wants to try and reform his captor.
- Double Take: The Enchantress and Skurge are stunned to hear that Avenger!OL is dating Hela.
- Ignorant of Their Own Ignorance: The Caliph can't imagine any city could surpass his.
- Out-Gambitted: Doctor Mist is able to trick Demon Constantine into both breaking his word, which means the former no longer needs to hold his end of a deal that would have the demon freed, and getting himself even further restricted simply by having the demon try to weasel out of their deal.
- Party Scattering: Happens thanks to Demon Constantine using a spell, though Doctor Mist saw it coming and used it to his advantage.
- Shapeshifting Excludes Clothing: Sandy reveals that he has this problem. Paul helps him avoid this after it is discovered that objects made out of silicates can shapeshift with him.
- Switching P.O.V.: We see the POV of Alan, Sandy, and Demon Constantine.
