    Episode 1
The gods assemble to decide the fate of humanity. Shiva says humans have not learned from their mistakes and Aphrodite says they have destroyed the environment. Among other arguments, the gods vote to exterminate humanity. Before Zeus can decree it so, the Valkyrie Brunhilde interrupts and says to kill them all at once would be boring. She proposes Ragnarok, a series of one on one battles between 13 gods and 13 humans, with the winner the first to get 7 victories. If the humans win, they live for another 1000 years, but if the gods win, they wipe out humanity. The gods laugh because humans are no match for them, but Brunhilde angers them by accusing them of cowardice. Amused, Zeus agrees to Ragnarok and assigns Brunhilde to choose humanity's champions.

Later, gods and humans gather in a huge coliseum to witness Ragnarok. The god Heimdall serves as the referee and announcer. For the first match, the god's champion is Thor. Brunhilde's sister Göll thinks their side doesn't stand a chance, but Brunhilde says her champion fills her with hope and he promised to win. Humanity's champion is Son Goku. Heimdall mocks both him and humanity in general during his entrance. Heimdall blows the Gjallarhorn to officially start Ragnarok and tells them to begin.

Goku tells Thor not to hold back. Thinking he is being made fun of, Thor attacks with his hammer, only for everybody to be shocked when Goku blocks it and then knocks him back with a punch. Göll asks where Brunhilde found him, so she explains that she was looking to recruit Lü Bu for her team, only to find him fighting Goku, who knocked him out with one punch and was disappointed in such a weak opponent. Intrigued, she told him about Ragnarok and he agreed to participate, saying fighting to save humanity from the gods' wrath reminds him of Beerus. He deflected the subject when she asked who Beerus was.

Thor is impressed by Goku's strength and they continue to trade blows. Zeus suspects that Goku is not human because there is no way a human could stand up to Thor using only martial arts. Goku again tells Thor to stop holding back. Agreeing, Thor removes his incredibly heavy gloves that limit his strength, while Goku stands there and says he will wait until he is finished. Once the gloves are off and his hammer transforms into a more powerful form, Thor hurls his hammer at Goku, making a huge explosion. Everyone assumes he is dead, until he emerges from the smoke. Shocked, everyone asks how that blow didn't affect him, but he says it was very painful. Goku says since Thor showed him his power, he will do the same and transforms into a Super Saiyan. Everyone is confused by his hair turning blond and him releasing energy that shakes the surroundings.

    Episode 2
Thor asks Goku if he is a god. He denies it, but privately tells Thor that he is from another world and his teacher sent him here so he could fight strong opponents. Thor agrees to keep silent and they resume. Thor recalls how he normally defeats opponents with one strike, so Goku is the first opponent in a long time to excite him. Thor hurls his hammer again, but Goku shatters it with a punch. The gods scream that is impossible while the humans taunt them. Goku kicks Thor in the gut, knocking him down. A little winded, Goku returns to normal and assumes he has won, but Thor gets up and acknowledges his strength before passing out. Goku is declared the winner and he comments he can sense someone far more powerful. The score is now 0-1.

The gods are bitter that they lost the first match while the humans cheer. Goku says after he eats, he would like to know who his next opponent is. Brunhilde gives him a feast as a reward for winning but informs him each champion can only fight once. She says her next champion will be Adam, the first man. Goku is surprised that the dead can easily be summoned here.

Adam is given a spectacular entrance to the arena while the god's next champion, Zeus, has Hermes play the violin for his entrance. The Valkyrie Reginleif transforms into a knuckleduster for Adam to wield. Acknowledging Brunhilde's cleverness, Zeus says he will fight barehanded and the second match begins. Despite Zeus' incredible strength and speed, Adam is able to copy his attacks and avoid all of Zeus', heavily injuring him. Brunhilde explains that since he was directly created by the gods, he can emulate a god's abilities. Zeus increases his muscle mass, but still cannot land a hit or avoid Adam's.

Brunhilde explains how in the beginning, the Serpent tried to rape Adam's wife, Eve, but when she resisted, he spitefully framed her for eating the Forbidden Fruit. At her trial, all the gods sided with the Serpent and sentenced her to exile from Eden. Adam suddenly ate of the fruit himself and said he would join her, then killed the Serpent when he attacked them. Göll says that is a sad story.

Zeus comments that he noticed Adam is not displaying any hatred or anger despite what the gods did to him and Eve and asks why he is fighting. Adam says it is to defend his descendants, all of humanity, which moves the audience. Zeus resorts to his final form by compressing his muscles to become a skinny form, which makes Goku note he has become more powerful. Adam continues to land blows and avoid Zeus', but Goku informs Brunhilde and Göll that Adam is dying because his body is overtaxed. Eve and her children Cain and Abel cry out for Adam when Zeus finally lands a punch that severely injures him. Zeus goes to finish him, but Goku jumps in and catches his punch, saying he would rather not have such an impressive fighter die when he has a family to return to. The gods are pissed and ready to attack, but Goku glares and dares them to do it, and they back down. As a result of Goku's inference, Adam is disqualified so the score is tied 1-1.

Goku takes Adam to the infirmary. When he returns, Brunhilde scolds him for interfering, but thanks him because Reginleif would have also died if Adam had died. The gods discuss Goku with Zeus saying he suspects he is from another world due to his power. The god's next champion will be Poseidon so they should be guaranteed a win, plus Zeus has a plan for if they lose. Meanwhile in Universe 7, Vegeta wonders where Goku went.

    Episode 3
After Adam lost, two of humanity's champions fled in fear so Brunhilde has no idea who to send next. Goku offers to go, but she reminds him that fighters cannot be repeated.

A few hours ago, Gohan visits Bulma and asks if she has seen Goku, but she hasn't and suggests that he might be training with Whis. Vegeta is infuriated that Goku is training without him and asks Bulma to call Whis, so she does and bribes the angel with ramen. Whis teleports Vegeta and Gohan to his planet and explains that Goku wanted to fight strong people, so he opened a portal to another dimension and Goku went through it. They ask Whis to open it again so they can follow him. He does, but warns them that some dimensions can reduce or cut one's power. They thank him and jump through.

When they arrive, they sense Goku's ki and follow it to the coliseum. The guard refuses them entry and mocks them for being mortals, but when Vegeta threatens him and Gohan says they are looking for his father, Goku, the guard gets scared and lets them in. They meet Goku and Brunhilde, who are surprised to see them. After explaining that Whis sent them here, Vegeta yells at him for going on an adventure without him, while Gohan says he's been gone for days and Chi Chi and Goten were worried, so Goku apologizes. They explain Ragnarok to them and they agree to participate with Vegeta facing Poseidon. They ask Goku if he has been weakened by coming here, but he says he has not. When Goku comments Thor was strong, but not as strong as Beerus, Vegeta says then he won't use Super Saiyan. Brunhilde asks where they came from and how they are so strong. Vegeta briefly explains that they are Saiyans from another universe. Brunhilde says she has never heard of a Saiyan, but they need all the help they can get.

For the third match, Poseidon makes a spectacular entrance by flooding the arena except for a small island, then parting the water to walk to the island. Everyone among the gods is frightened of him. During Vegeta's entrance, Heimdall mocks Vegeta as a fool for taking on Poseidon, but Vegeta threatens and scares him away. As the match begins, Vegeta gets angry that Poseidon is not even looking at him. Poseidon asks why he should pay attention to a mortal and suggests Vegeta get a Valkyrie to become a weapon for him to make it even. Vegeta says he does not need a weapon to fight.

    Episode 4
Brunhilde explains to Göll that there used to be a 13th Olympian, Zeus and Poseidon's older brother Adamas. When Adamas started a rebellion against Zeus' rule and tried to recruit Poseidon, Poseidon killed him, which is why he is feared.

Vegeta avoids Poseidon's trident and punches him to knock him back. Ares is in disbelief that a supposed human can take on Poseidon. Poseidon increases his speed and gives Vegeta a cut, then blitzes him with Vegeta barely avoiding more blows. Vegeta resorts to using Super Saiyan, amazing everyone. Now able to match Poseidon's speed, he asks how being a god is. Poseidon says as a god, he is perfect and does not need anyone. Vegeta calls him foolish and says he used to be like that, but a life like that is empty. Now, he has a family and protecting them is what pushes him to become stronger. Poseidon gasps as he remembers the happy memories he had with Adamas. They resume and Poseidon stabs Vegeta in the gut, but he uses his ki to armor himself.

Vegeta says he'll show how outclassed he is and uses Super Saiyan 2, shocking everyone. Goku reminds him that they are fighting for humanity's survival, so stop playing around. Annoyed, Vegeta uses his Final Flash attack, which blows off both of Poseidon's arms. Vegeta urges him to surrender, but he angrily refuses and charges while holding his trident with his teeth. Vegeta knocks him out with a punch, then returns to normal and orders Heimdall to get Poseidon to the infirmary. Vegeta wins, making the score 1-2, and the humans chant his name.

As Vegeta returns to the others, Goku points out that he said he would not use Super Saiyan. Vegeta admits Poseidon was tougher than he thought and amazing for wanting to keep fighting after losing his arms. He says his power has not been reduced, so Whis' warning does not apply to this world. He then says he briefly sensed the presence of someone with power on par with Beerus. Goku says he sensed it too and tells Gohan to be careful when he fights next.

Meanwhile, Beerus sneezes and wakes up, saying someone must be talking about him. He notices Whis eating the ramen and demands the last of it. Noting that Whis usually only receives offerings when someone asks for help, he asks for the truth. Whis explains everything that happened. Beerus says he'll go out, stretch his legs, and maybe check up on Goku and Vegeta.

The gods discuss the recent match. Zeus says these guys are powerful and they might not win. Shiva asks if he plans to surrender, but he says no. If the gods lose one more match, he will unleash his ultimate weapon, which frightens the other gods. Brunhilde says Gohan's opponent will be Hercules.

    Episode 5
Ares and Loki realize the ultimate weapon Zeus is talking about is an apocalyptic being sealed away and beg him to reconsider, saying if that creature is awakened, it will kill all the gods and destroy the planet. Aphrodite says Zeus must really hate losing if he's resorting to that. Odin tells them a secret: there are many other alternate universes and dimensions. Zeus says if that creature destroys the world, the gods can just move to another universe.

Brunhilde and Göll explain how Hercules fought to defend the weak his whole life and eventually ascended to godhood. Gohan is impressed by his heroism. The two Valkyries say they love Hercules like a brother and beg Gohan not to kill him. He promises not to.

As Hercules makes his entrance for the fourth match, gods and humans alike cheer for him. Heimdall introduces Gohan as the son of Goku and the humans cheer for him. Hercules says if he is Goku's son, he must be as impressive. Gohan says he is not as strong as his father, but he will still be a good match. Hercules says if he wins, he will ask the gods not to destroy humanity. Gohan praises him as a hero.

The match begins and Gohan lands a punch that sends Hercules flying and buries him in rubble. He emerges and praises Gohan's strength, then attacks with his club, but Gohan dodges and tries to hit him again, only for him to block with his club. Hercules says Gohan is a man of honor to fight barehanded and apologizes for using a weapon, but it looks like he needs it. He calls on the power of the Nemean Lion and a tattoo on his body starts to spread, which worries Ares. The club briefly transforms into the Nemean Lion, catching Gohan off guard, then tackles him, sending him flying and burying him in rubble.

The gods automatically assume Gohan is dead and Hercules has won, but he says Gohan is tougher than that and Gohan emerges. Hercules says he could tell Goku and Vegeta did not fight at their full potential and asks Gohan to do that so they can have a real battle. Gohan says out of respect for Hercules fighting for justice, he will teach him about his powers. Vegeta thinks Gohan is being stupid while Goku says Gohan must really respect Hercules. Gohan goes Super Saiyan and explains its name and that it multiplies his power. He then goes Super Saiyan 2 and explains that. The whole coliseum shakes, scaring the audience while Heimdall says this is awesome and Hercules is impressed. He then uses his Mystic Form, which sends Hercules flying. Since Mystic Form looks like his normal form, the gods mock him, thinking he made a big show only to turn back to normal. However, Hercules can sense his energy and says he has become even more powerful.

Hercules says maybe Gohan can defeat that monster, but deflects the subject when Gohan asks what he means. Hercules says as they are now, Gohan has surpassed him, so he must use his full potential as well. Gohan says he is willing to wait. Hercules gathers a lot of energy and his tattoo spreads across his body. Ares explains to Loki and Brunhilde explains to Göll, Goku, and Vegeta that the tattoo represents the power he gained from completing the Twelve Labors. It is extremely painful and if it covers him completely, he will die, shocking the listeners. Hercules summons Cerberus and merges with it to transform into a bestial form, declaring this is the accumulation of the Twelve Labors. The audience is either scared or impressed while Gohan says he can sense that his strength has greatly increased. Hercules challenges Gohan to take him on while Göll cries out for him, not wanting him to die.

    Episode 6
Hercules charges at Gohan, who fires a Kamehameha and scores a direct hit. Hercules continues to charge forward, but Gohan pours more energy into his beam and knocks him down, then curves the beam into the sky to protect the audience. Severely burned, Hercules admits he is beaten and says maybe Gohan can save them all before passing out. Gohan is confused by that statement, but is declared the winner making the score 1-3. After returning to normal, Gohan orders Hercules sent to the infirmary and returns to the others, assuring Göll that he kept his promise not to kill him.

As the humans cheer for Gohan's victory, the gods are upset that they have lost once again. Zeus wants to unleash his creature, but Shiva says he is fighting next and promises to win. On his way down to the arena, Beerus and Whis suddenly teleport in front of him in a hallway. When he demands their identities, they introduce themselves with Beerus calling himself the God of Destruction. Shiva calls him an imposter because he is the God of Destruction, then calls him a rat. Angered, Beerus says the penalty for insulting him is death and challenges him to a fight. When he senses Beerus' incredible power, Shiva powers up to his maximum and punches him in the face, making a sonic boom. However, Beerus is unaffected and uses Hakai to disintegrate Shiva. Beerus is disappointed to face a weakling, but he and Whis can sense a great power, though the person with it seems to be sealed.

For the fifth match, Heimdall introduces humanity's next champion, Tameemon Raiden, the greatest sumo wrestler in history. While Goku likes his entrance, Vegeta is unimpressed. Heimdall then announces Shiva, but nothing happens. The humans begin to mock the gods, asking if Shiva got scared and ran away. Beerus and Whis suddenly step out of the gods' entranceway and call for Goku and Vegeta. While the gods and humans are confused, a scared Goku and Vegeta come down to the arena. They ask Goku and Vegeta what is going on and they give a quick summary, including that Raiden was scheduled to fight Shiva. Beerus says he just killed Shiva, shocking them. Raiden suddenly says that he came here to fight, and since Beerus killed his opponent, he'll fight him instead. Vegeta tells him not to be a fool because he stands no chance against Beerus, but Beerus is intrigued and agrees to take him on.

    Episode 7
Zeus and Loki get angry and jump down into the arena, demanding to know who Beerus is. Annoyed, he prepares to use Hakai on Loki, and the two gods are terrified when they sense his power. Goku begs him to stop, so he relents. Zeus reluctantly agrees to make Beerus the gods' champion for the fifth round. Before Zeus leaves the arena, Beerus comments on the powerful warrior sleeping beneath the ground, scaring him. Zeus wonders if he knows about Beelzebub's underground laboratory that holds his secret weapon.

Whis and a reluctant Goku and Vegeta leave the arena. Though confused, Heimdall says to let the fifth match begin. In emulation of sumo traditions, Raiden throws ceremonial salt into the air, but Beerus complains that he wasted it because it could have gone into a meal. Raiden attempts a dropkick, but Beerus effortlessly blocks it and says it looks like he is too weak. Raiden says he'll have to unlock his limiters then. Beerus agrees to wait.

Whis, Goku, and Vegeta meet Gohan, Brunhilde, and Göll. The Saiyans and Whis discuss that they have sensed a being with incredible power, and Gohan mentions when Hercules said maybe he could save them. Brunhilde starts freaking out. Concerned, they ask what is wrong, so she explains Hercules once told her a tale from before her time. She thought it was just a story, but it goes that an outer god, Azathoth, once attacked Earth. It took the gods everything to knock him out, but since they could not kill him, they sealed him away, under the arena floor. She starts crying that if Azathoth awakens, everything will be destroyed. The Saiyans assure that if he does awaken, they will stop him.

Beerus gets bored with how long it takes for Raiden to prepare. At last, he is ready and hits Beerus in the face with a palm strike so hard it makes a shockwave and kicks up a lot of dust. However, it has no effect on Beerus. He says Raiden is too weak to fight him, and he wants a real fight, so he'll awaken the warrior sleeping in the ground. Before anyone can stop him, he rises into the sky and fires an energy blast at the ground, making a huge explosion.

    Episode 8
The explosion sends Raiden flying and blows a hole in the floor, revealing a hideous, tentacled monster that is asleep. It is surrounded by other monsters that play music, but all but two are dead. Brunhilde completely freaks out to see that Azathoth was real. Beerus demands to know what this creature is, so Zeus explains its name and origins and that the monsters play music, using up their own life force, to keep it asleep because according to prophecy, it will immediately destroy the universe when it wakes up. One of the monsters suddenly dies, having used up all of its life force. Everyone in the audience is shocked and Hades calls Zeus a fool for holding Ragnarok here. Zeus says the prophecy is inevitable, though he did not see people like Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Beerus coming.

Beerus does not care and wants his real fight, so he orders the last monster to stop playing, but it does not respond. Zeus says it does not have eyes or ears and was created just to play the music. Annoyed, Beerus threatens to kill it. Loki tries to attack him, but Vegeta knocks the wind out of him and says he just saved his life. Whis tells Beerus to stop. He has just analyzed Azathoth and learned that he is on a similar level to Zeno himself.

Beerus immediately loses his courage and freaks out that he nearly antagonized a superior being. He asks how it is possible that a being could rival Zeno, so Whis shrugs and says the multiverse is a big place. Goku promises that if Azathoth does awaken and destroy everything, he will do his best to defeat him and bring everything back, and Vegeta and Gohan say they will help. Beerus asks if they are crazy, but Goku says if they cannot defeat him, he will use the button that summons Zeno. Whis praises him for remembering that, but Beerus worries that he will get in trouble if Zeno finds out about this.

Suddenly, Raiden emerges from the rubble, extremely injured and partially blinded. Still thinking he is fighting Beerus, he charges forward and before anyone can react, he hits the last monster with a palm strike, killing it. Thinking he just defeated Beerus, he celebrates, oblivious to everyone freaking out around him.

    Episode 9
As soon as Azathoth wakes up, he triggers an explosion. Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Beerus, and Whis are shocked to find Earth has been reduced to a barren wasteland and everyone else has been vaporized. Azathoth then strikes Beerus and knocks him into a mountain, shocking the others who couldn't follow his movements. Vegeta uses Super Saiyan Blue and blasts Azathoth with no effect. Beerus says this is his fight and uses Hakai, but it has no effect. Whis traps Azathoth in a force field and tells everyone to work together. Goku uses Ultra Instinct, Vegeta uses Super Saiyan Royal Blue, and Gohan uses Beast Mode and they and Beerus blast Azathoth at the same time.

As everyone drops their transformations and catches their breath, the smoke clears to reveal Azathoth's body cracking apart until a humanoid figure emerges from it. Whis worriedly realizes the first form was just a shell and they broke it. Goku prepares to summon Zeno, but Beerus angrily says he caused this problem and he will fix it. He unleashes a barrage of punches, but Azathoth is unfazed. Beerus rises into the sky and prepares a blast that can destroy the planet, but before he can fire, Azathoth telekinetically smacks him between two planets, making him fall to the ground unconscious.

Azathoth asks why they didn't die when he killed everyone else, but no matter. He marches over to kill Beerus, but Goku stands in his way and uses Ultra Instinct. However, Azathoth attacks too fast for him to react and soon knocks him to the ground. Gohan tries to help, but Goku warns him back. Azathoth starts strangling Beerus, but an angry Whis knocks him back. Intrigued, Azathoth proposes a game. He locks Beerus in a force field and says he will fight Whis one on one. If Whis cannot last for ten minutes, the force field will automatically burn Beerus to cinders. Whis tells the others that he will take his challenge, but if he loses, they might have no choice but to summon Zeno. Vegeta suggests Whis go back in time and stop Beerus from waking him up, but Whis says he already tried that and his time power is not working since they are in another universe. Azathoth overhears them and says now he knows why they didn't die.

Whis and Azathoth fight and are evenly matched, but Vegeta deduces that Azathoth is only toying with him. Whis takes damage and is amazed at his foe's power. He then gets an idea. If they can bring Azathoth to their universe, it should weaken him.

    Episode 10
Azathoth overhears Whis and is intrigued about going to another universe. Whis opens a portal to Universe 7 and Azathoth steps through, and the force field around Beerus disappears. With Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan carrying the unconscious Beerus, they and Whis step through.

Zeno, Grand Priest, and his guards detect Azathoth's enormous power and go to them to investigate. Goku's group gives a brief summary of everything that happened. Azathoth can tell Zeno is the strongest and wants to fight him. Zeno uses his Erase ability, but the everyone's shock, it has no effect. Whis says he may have made a mistake. Grand Priest challenges Azathoth in Zeno's place and they clash at super speed, trading blows. The shock waves are felt throughout the multiverse, with people like Jiren saying they have never felt such incredible power.

Zeno tells Grand Priest that he can unlock his seals and fight at his full potential, so he transforms into a powered up form. Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan are shocked that he was even more powerful than they thought, and Whis says his father dwarfs him. Zeno thanks him for the entertainment and says he wants to fight too. Beerus wakes up and is shocked and scared by everything that is happening. Azathoth is amazed by Grand Priest's transformation and asks if Zeno can do the same, which Grand Priest confirms.

Azathoth calls out to Zeno with an idea. He will restore his universe to normal and after making a few adjustments, they will have a tournament similar to Ragnarok. Thirteen from his universe vs thirteen from anyone in Zeno's multiverse. The fights can only end in death and the final match will be him vs Zeno. Grand Priest is outraged that he would demand such a thing, but Azathoth transforms and knocks him into outer space. Vegeta and the others cannot believe he has become even more powerful. Azathoth approaches Zeno and asks what he thinks. Grand Priest comes back and he and the guards block his way, but Zeno says he agrees to his terms.
