The housemates deal with the fallout of Colin's puberty.

Tropes featured in this episode:

  • Bittersweet Ending: Colin Robinson is back and solves all their monetary issues, allowing the vampires to fix up the house. But Laszlo is internally devastated at Colin having zero recollection about the time that his child version spent with Laszlo. Nandor finally gets out of his emotional funk, but is still oblivious to Guillermo's emotional state, which pushes Guillermo to quit being his familiar and seek other means of becoming a vampire.
  • Chekhov's Gag: Child Colin's obsession with hammering holes in the basement turns out to be a compulsion to find the secret method of finding the original Colin Robinson's diaries, allowing Colin Robinson to come back.
  • 420, Blaze It: The first part of Colin Robinson's PIN code is 420, which he specifically says as the number 420 rather than the first three digits.
  • Didn't Think This Through:
    • Nadja declares that she'll simply wing their final plan to save her nightclub by just resurrecting various humans for their entertainment plan instead of researching them. This means that she fails to take into account that most of the Guide's resurrected souls aren't entertainers, but writers and other historical figures with little to no actual skill in direct entertainment and some of whom don't speak English.
    • Nadja's bummed out by their lack of revenue and decides to burn her nightclub down in a fit of emotional despair. But she forgets to remove her secret stash of money, subsequently burning down her own personal wealth in the process. Her attempt to collect insurance money for the burned down club fails because she didn't bother to actually get an insurance beforehand, and it's now too late to get one.
  • Diegetic Soundtrack Usage: Laszlo sings and plays on his piano the song "Sunrise, Sunset" from Fiddler on the Roof.
  • Insurance Fraud: Nadja attempts to burn down her nightclub in an attempt to make some money out of it, but it turns out that the blood sprinklers actually managed to extinguish everything. And she never got insurance in the first place, meaning that even if everything had burned down, she wouldn't have been able to make money. And she accidentally burned all the cash that she had hidden in her office, the only place of the club with no sprinklers, leaving her personally with even more money lost.
  • Irony: As Nadja spells out, after all those times failing, the blood sprinklers finally work... and it's to put out the fire that she tried to set for the insurance.
  • LOL, 69: The second number in Colin Robinson's PIN code is 69, which he also specifies to be 69 rather than 6 and 9.
  • Secret Room: The basement of the house turns out to have one where Colin Robinson stored his many diaries.
  • Sequel Hook: The finale ends with Guillermo trying to bribe Derek into making him a vampire.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: Laszlo and Nadja's season-long subplots both end meaninglessly. Laszlo's attempt to raise Colin Robinson to not be as dull as he originally was fails when Colin reverts to his pre-death personality and Nadja's nightclub goes out of business, with even her attempt at insurance fraud failing.
  • Something Only They Would Say: Laszlo confirms that Colin Robinson is truly back after he recites from memory his imitation of Jar-Jar Binks when they went to Sean's house one day.
  • Special Edition Title: In this episode, "You’re Dead" is replaced by Lazlo singing "Sunrise, Sunset" as Colin’s pictures are replaced by ones of his child self.
  • Status Quo Is God: In-Universe, Guillermo’s frustration with this is why he decides to leave.
  • Totally Radical: Nandor tries to talk to Teen Colin, claiming he knows how to appeal to teens as he used to have many of them in his army. But since Nandor is a centuries old vampire who has repeatedly been shown to be out of touch with the world, his attempts at slang fail miserably.
  • Your Costume Needs Work: One of the visitors during the haunted house mocks the costumes, asking if they were purchased on Amazon. They also show zero reaction to the Goëjlrm.
