- Boyish Short Hair: Wallace has very short hair, and is an adventurous tomboy.

- Major Injury Underreaction: Wallace lost an eye in her Poppy Ranger duties. She's cool with it, though.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Tabes and Grizzly's arguing causes a huge cave-in that leaves them trapped on a narrow length of rock.
- Reveal Shot: Tabes points out the exit to the cave... which is at the far end of a long, narrow, winding path over a nearly-bottomless pit.
- Scout-Out: Ranger Tabes leads a group of "Poppy Rangers" on a journey through a cave.
- "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue: As Tabes throws the Poppy Rangers to safety, cards with their future careers flash on the screen. For Tabes, her future is head of the National Parks Department; Grizz's reads "still a bear".
