Several weeks have passed since the defeat of Nox and Dally's heroic sacrifice, and the heroes have been sojourning in the Sadida Kingdom, as Amalia resumes her duties as a Princess. Evangelyne is still sullen because of Sadlygrove's death, when she suddenly hears his voice, telling her that he's alive and to seek something called "Rubilaxia". Meanwhile something or someone is causing the underground fauna of the kingdom to stir up and Yugo and Adamai have to investigate to help the population...

Tropes:

  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: A giant Gerbil, which is, essentially, a giant kangaroo rat with electrical powers.
  • Big Damn Heroes: The situation is ultimately defused thanks to Kamasutar Jr., who shows up with the Gerbil's babies and placates their angry mommy.
  • Call-Back: Adamai summons an earthen Crackler to fight the Giant Gerbil, as he did back on Oma Island to test Yugo.
  • Cassandra Truth: After receiving Sadlygrove's message, Evangelyne excitedly informs Amalia... who coldly reminds her that it's the third time this week that she claims to have heard Dally's voice, and thus believes that she's just deluded again.
  • Cliffhanger: The episode ends with Eva grabbing Skribble and a Dragonturkey and departing the Sadida Kingdom, looking for Dally and Rubilaxia.
  • Gold Fever: The whole Gerbil invasion subplot was caused by Ruel exploring the cavern system beneath the Sadida Kingdom, hunting for precious gold until he upset the giant Gerbil living there.
  • Hope Spot: For Eva, as Sadlygrove informs her that he's still alive, if trapped.
  • Important Haircut: Before looking for Dally, Eva cuts her hair in a bob (as seen in the opening sequence), determined to find him.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: After causing all the mess for his Gold Fever, Amalia decides to let Ruel go... after confiscating all the gold he prospected, as after all it is Sadida property. Ruel is devastated.
  • Monster Is a Mommy: The giant Gerbil is actually a mother, and her rampage is stopped when Junior show up with her unharmed babies.
  • Mundane Utility: Yugo using his portal powers to capture the gerbils infesting a field by teleporting them to a Bag of Holding, while Adamai uses his Crackler form to stomp the earth to make them bounce out. Adamai isn't impressed, though Yugo is fine with that, as he's still helping the Sadida and, by extent, Amalia.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Ruel's unlicensed prospecting ends up unleashing the fury of the giant Gerbil, who nearly rampages through Dally's memorial statue.
  • Oh, Crap!: Adamai, when he realizes that the Giant Gerbil is heading towards Dally's statue, so he pulls a You Shall Not Pass! to stop the beast.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Amalia is unusually cold and haughty in this episode, though it's apparently due to the stress brought by her role as a Princess.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: The above being said, Amalia does join Adamai and Yugo in protecting Dally's monument from the crazed Gerbil.
  • Sanity Slippage: Downplayed but implied with Eva, who apparently has been finding evidence of Dally being still alive for weeks, in a desperate attempt to cope with his loss. This is why Amalia and Yugo don't take their claims seriously.
  • Shock and Awe: The Giant Gerbil can shoot lightning from her forehead.
