The Breakfast Bunch
In this parody of The Breakfast Club, Tori and the gang are forced to spend a Saturday in detention after a problem at lunch (Robbie choked on a pretzel) caused them all to be late for class. They spend said day to learn more about each other, find food, and stand up to the mean vice principal Dickers.
Tropes:
- "The Breakfast Club" Poster Homage: The episode is a Detention Episode, so one of the promo pictures
referenced the film's. Tori is in Claire's position, Cat is in Allison's, and so on. - The Breakfast Plot: To none other than The Breakfast Club, with the cast doing a cover of "Don't You Forget About Me".
- Canon Discontinuity: Due to the episode being a parody, it is considered non-canon. This makes sense, as the characters aren't acting like themselves throughout the special and the events of the story are never acknowledged again.
- Friendly Tickle Torture: At one point, Robbie blows a raspberry in Tori's stomach, prompting laughter from her and the rest.
- Overly Long Gag: Mr. Dickers giving multiple Saturday detentions after another; by the time this is over, Jade has three more detentions, while Tori has five.
- Shout-Out: The whole plot is one to The Breakfast Club, but the title is a reference to both the said film and the Dom Com The Brady Bunch.
