April Ghoul's Day

The Hauntley family plays pranks on Poppy and Bridget for April Ghoul's Day

Tropes:

  • An Aesop: Tricks are all in good fun as long as you let others in on the fun.
  • April Fools' Plot: This episode involves the Transylvanian version of April Fool's Day, with the Hauntley family playing pranks on Poppy and Bridget.
  • Covered in Gunge: The first prank that Vee plays on Poppy and Bridget is to cover them in a bucket of slime.
  • Innocently Insensitive: No one in the Hauntley family means harm, but they do pull these pranks more for their own amusement and less on making sure Poppy and Bridget have fun.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: It's a relatively light example, but still there. The last few minutes of the episode have Vee help Poppy and Bridget pull pranks on the family. She's later pranked when being chased by a pink windup toy they put out, but she doesn't mind them doing this.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Everyone, especially Vee, has this reaction when Poppy and Bridget are about to leave, and they apologize for how far they went.
  • Temporarily a Villain: The episode "April Ghoul's Day" has the Hauntley family, particularly Vee, take on a slightly antagonistic role when they keep pranking Poppy and Bridget with a barrage of tricks. Fortunately, it's portrayed in an Innocently Insensitive way where they're just really into their game. They accept being pranked by Poppy and Bridget as well as apologize for going too far, realizing that it's all about everyone having fun.

Monster's New Bed
