- Humans Are the Real Monsters: Whoever is trying to kidnap M1 for its blood shows that some humans in the show can be if not all, just as heartless and repugnant than the kaiju and aliens Haruki and Z fought, that even includes Celebro of all people.
- Non-Malicious Monster: M1 is a peaceful and playful creature whose rampage is a result of being attacked by an evil organization for its cells. Most of the episode's problem comes from trying to peacefully subdue and calm it down while attempting to not kill it.
- Shout-Out: Z Beta Smash putting M1 with a Sharpshooter and the latter didn't even tapped out before Z goes Delta Rise Claw. Does that sound familiar?
- Take a Third Option: When Director Kuriyama gives out the order of exterminating M1 and the crew are not going along with it, Haruki decides to come up with the idea of subduing it, and killing the poor guy would be considered mission failed.
