- Badass in Distress: Ultraman Max. He is both on the verge of being mutated from the Gudis cells and being fed to Maga-Orochi. Either way, both fates are gruesome.

- Max acknowledges that Maga-Orochi came from Monster Galaxy, something which was noted in Ultraman Orb Chronicle novel to explain where the Orochi in Ultraman Orb came from.
- Planet Kanon has Yullian visiting Queen Izana and the Tree of Life is still on that planet. As it details in the distant past before Ribut became a member of Galaxy Rescue Force, everything in Ultraman Orb: The Origin Saga has yet to happen.
- Yullian recognizes that Reugosite is a monster that cleanses harmful planets and entities in outer space, and wondered why would it attack them on Kanon. Both the Ultraman R/B and Ultraman Taiga explained that Reugosite was Brainwashed and Crazy courtesy of Tregear.
- The Corruption: Gudis cells again, as Alien Sran exploits it to slowly mutate Max into a monster. Even if Ribut wanted to help, Max forces him to stay away, fearing that even he will be infected too via close contact.
- Downer Beginning: The opening to this episode is almost in same level of Ultraman Leo's downer beginning in terms of bleakness and the fact that Max's appearance taking design aesthetics from Ultraseven doesn't help matters either. Ultramen Ribut and Max being ambushed by Hellberus and Alien Sran inside Maga-Orochi's nest, and Max incapacitated while on the verge of being corrupted by Gudis' cells with Ribut unable to do anything but retreat back to the Land of Light and report to the Inter Galactic Defense Force.
- Mythology Gag: The Gudis cells here are stated to mutate those unfortunate enough into a monster, including Ultraman Max. In a non-canon American comic for Ultraman: Towards the Future (the series where Gudis came from), one unfortunate crook became an evil version of Ultraman Great through it.
- Race Against the Clock: The Ultramen have three days left to save Max from the Gudis cells and Maga-Orochi's egg.
- Sealed Evil in a Can: According to Max, Maga-Orochi was sealed away, so when its egg is on Planet Mikarito, he knows thatsomething isn't right.
- Shout-Out: Hellberus' name was taken from Cerberus the three-headed hound guardian of hades. Like its namesake, Hellberus guards the Maga-Orochi egg from Max and Ribut
