Eva turns out to be the one who casts dark magic as the traitor among the witches, much to the shock of Sheila and later Arusu. Wanting to save Eva, Arusu decides to get a chestnut from the Human Realm.
"Light Magic" provides examples of:
- Affectionate Nickname: Arusu calls the Grand Master of Witches "Granny".
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Eva wants to get her magic back from the Mystical Plague. She gets her wish as the unwilling caster of dark magic.
- Despotism Justifies the Means: Grande's final line in Japanese reveals that as long as he can rule everything, he sees no problem with driving many of his species to despair.
- The Dog Was the Mastermind: Sheila discovers that Eva is the (unwilling) traitor among the witches. It's particularly a shocking reveal since the character in question is not only a blonde, pigtailed Cute Witch but also one of The Hero Arusu's True Companions.
- Don't Look At Me: When Sheila and later Arusu discover Eva's monstrous form as the caster of dark magic, she yells "Don't look at me!" at them.
- Et Tu, Brute?: Sheila and later Arusu are shocked to know Eva is the (unwilling) traitor among the witches.
- The Power of Hate: The Grand Master of Witches warns her subjects to fight dark magic with innocence, lest their hate strengthen it.
