Four people are about to die when they suddenly experience a ringing in the head and a bit of a headache. They each collapse and then get up seemingly more determined than they were, resolve their life-threatening situation and start their mission. These people are:
Marcy - a mentally challenged young woman, working as a cleaning lady at a library. She witnesses a gang of thugs assaulting her colleague. She is then (originally fatally) attacked herself when she goes out to retrieve a handbag dropped in the assault. When her body is take over by a Traveller, she fights off the assailants, picks up her staff and walks away.
Trevor - a high school sports star, fighting in an octagon-style match. He´s getting his ass kicked badly, but refuses to give up and stay down. when he is knocked down again, his body is taken over by a Traveller, he gets up and says "I concede the fight".
Philip - a junkie, shooting up heroin. He is about to inject when his body is taken over. He gets up and leaves, leaving his friend behind after a brief hesitation.
Carly - a young mother preparing meal for her child. A car pulls up, a man gets out, approaches the door and persuades her to let him in. He´s the baby´s father, but he´s drunk and has an attitude. He hits Carly, and she falls. Her body is taken over and she coldly and calmly tells him to leave.
Meanwhile, a duo of FBI agents investigates suspicious communications on the dark net, with possible explanations ranging from a terrorist cell to a group of gamers.
