Tropes:

  • An Arm and a Leg: Optimus blasts Starscream's arm clear off. The kids later use said arm to fire a missile at the zombified Skyquake, which blasts off one of his arms.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Miko wanted to see some "zombie-'Cons" and impulsively follows the Autobots into the battlefield, inadvertently dragging Jack and Raf with her, who tried to stop her. She gets her wish, and they nearly get killed by a zombified Skyquake. Hope you're happy now...
  • Blatant Lies: Once back on the Nemesis, Starscream simply claimed to Knock Out that his arm had just randomly fallen off. Knock Out doesn't appear to believe Starscream, but the angry ranting makes him not want to push it.
  • Blind Without 'Em: Raf, natch. This becomes something of an issue when he loses them and a zombified Skyquake's approaching...
  • Butt-Monkey / Chew Toy: Starscream as usual. Off-screen, he got a huge beating from Megatron as punishment for attempts of treachery and on-screen by Optimus and Skyquake.
  • Cell Phones Are Useless/Super Cell Reception: Played with. Jack's phone gets a signal, but apparently that signal doesn't translate well between dimensions. They bypass this with texting.
  • From Bad to Worse: The kids shoot off zombie Skyquake's arm with Starscream's missile. They first celebrate, but then the arm can move ten times faster than the zombie Skyquake himself. Miko lampshades this is confusing and nothing short of a backfiring solution to her.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: Starscream boasts that he cannot be harmed while Dark Energon is within him. Optimus immediately shoots Starscream's arm off.
  • Intangibility: The kids and the zombified Skyquake have these qualities, but because they're in another dimension, and no one else can see them.
  • Irony: After spending half a season in stasis, Megatron is amused to see Starscream be the one weakened and laid up on a slab.
  • Let Us Never Speak of This Again: After being thrown through the portal, Starscream sees a Vehicon staring at him in confusion. Starscream angrily orders to never talk about this with anyone ever.
  • Mythology Gag: When Knockout is offering upgrades for Starscream's severed arm, one of the options he suggests is replacing it with a Null Ray, Starscream's signature weapon in Generation 1
  • Never My Fault: The Autobots realize the kids followed them when Miko angrily screams at Jack, "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU MADE ME LOSE MY PHONE!"
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Jack makes it very clear he blames Miko for their and Raf's getting stuck in a parallel dimension, basically endangering all their lives just because she wanted to see some "zombie 'Cons".
  • Pun:
(Starscream is attacked by Skyquake's arm and pulls it off)
    This isn't mine! Unhand me!
  • Shout-Out: Ratchet believes the two GroundBridge portals have "crossed streams".
  • This Is Gonna Suck: After the reanimated Skyquake starts glaring right at them, the kids immediately realize that the zombie passing right through Bulkhead means it's in the same dimension as they are.
Miko: If we're not ghosts now, we will be soon.
  • Title Drop: Done by Raf when he theorizes that they've been sent to another dimension.
  • You Can Say That Again:
Miko: Look, if you're going to blame anybody, blame me.
Jack: I'm sorry, could you say that again...a couple dozen times?
  • Zombie Gait: The zombified Skyquake, but curiously, not his severed arm.
