Recap / Tracker S1E22 "Remember When"

Go To

Cole finds a way to collect all the life forces across the country at once. He also learns that he only has 2 hours until the wormhole to the Migar System closes for the next 100 years. His computer warns him that one of the captured life forces is corrupt, which could cause the wormhole to collapse prematurely. Cole and Mel try to figure out whose life force it is. An energy surge from the wiring zaps Cole, causing him to lose his memories. Mel tries to remind him about everything. He keeps wondering if they're involved since he feels attracted to her. Eventually, everything comes back to him. They figure out that the corrupted life force belongs to Jagar, the Orsian Cole captured in London, since his brother is still at large and Orsian siblings are psychically linked. Cole collects all the alien life forces in the country. He asks Mel to go with him, since her Cirronian ancestry would allow her to go through the wormhole, but she refuses. He says goodbye and leaves at hyperspeed to get to the wormhole before it closes.

Some time later, Mel returns home and finds Cole sitting on the couch and fixing her stereo. She asks what happened, and he explains that, after delivering the fugitives, he realized he no longer had anything keeping him in the Migar System, so he came back home, to her, just before the wormhole closed. Mel gifts Cole a telescope, and he shows her where Migar is. The final shot is of Cole's computer showing alien life forces appearing all over the country.

  • But Now I Must Go: Cole has to complete his task and return the fugitives to SAR TOP.
  • Cliffhanger: Alien life forces are reappearing on Earth en masse.
  • Clip Show: Much of the episode is clips from the other episodes, some of which are longer than they ought to be to pad the time.
  • Easy Amnesia: A random energy surge gives this to Cole, forcing Mel to try to job his memory by reminding him of things. He has trouble believing all the alien stuff and assumes that he and Mel are an item. This plot thread gets resolved pretty quickly, though, and he suddenly recalls everything.
  • Grand Finale: The show was cancelled after the first season, so this is all we get.
  • I Choose to Stay: After delivering the fugitives, Cole decides to return to Earth and live out his life with Mel.
  • Law of Alien Names: We finally see how some of the alien names are spelled. Some are pretty straightforward (Mederan, Remel, Krace, Vedra, and Jagar), while others aren't (Tevv, Yhir, Sirez, and Rhee).
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Cole uses a satellite tied into his collector to gather all the alien life forces in the US outside the room. So what happened to Nestov, who doesn't even get a mention in the episode? And what about Lontoria, whom Cole hinted that he wouldn't be collecting? Did Zin's life force get collected from the vault? And what about fugitives in other countries? There's also no mention about the previous episode's superweapon and where they may have hidden it.
  • Wrap It Up: The episode has Cole collect all the life forces he hasn't yet and deliver them home. It's possible the show's creators already knew they weren't getting a second season.
