- Chekhov's Gun: The boombox that Krel accidentally sent back to Akiridion-5 proves to be useful when the resistance use it to cause a distraction.
- Continuity Nod: Detective Scott still believes that the play that Barbara and the other parents played to fool him is a genuine play called "Troll-fighters", which he performs during his audition. Toby is understandably not so amused by it.
- Deal with the Devil: Sergeant Costas expresses his fear that the arrangement with General Morando will end up like this.
- Not So Above It All: Detective Scott, Mrs. Janeth, and Senor Uhl auditioned together in Toby's movie which shows that despite their roles in the series, they have fun together and partake the audition.

- Lenora Janeth performs an excerpt from her one-woman show, "Is It Love or Is It just A Prank", which involves her hamming it up with her usual over-dramatic performance.
- Senor Uhl is too monotone to perform as a screaming bystander, resulting to several cuts.
- Thinks Like a Romance Novel: Mother has been studying human emotions by referring to romantic comedies.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: Varvatos manage to win Nancy over and walks off with her for a day out together.
- Wham Episode: Aja learns that Morando is on Earth and has allied with Kubritz.
- You Have Failed Me: General Morando kills Tronos because he failed to capture the Tarrons. And to give Kubritz an idea what's in store for her if she fails him.
