- A House Divided: When Krel is revealed to the bounty hunters, they immediately start fighting against each other to decide who’s going to take him, which gives the chance for Krel and Stuart to flee.
- The Bus Came Back: Zeron Alpha and the Foo Foo bounty hunters come back.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Alpha kills the robot bartender for giving him a drink he didn't order.
- Ironic Name: Foo Foo the Mighty is the smallest Foo Foo while Foo Foo the Minuscule is a regular sized Foo Foo.
- Faster-Than-Light Travel: Deconstructed. It actually takes a reasonable amount of time for Stuart and the royals to reach the moon. Instead of the usual faster-than-light travel to there in two seconds used by most Scifi shows, it's shown that the trip is painstakenly slow (although it's implied it's because the ship is lacking an osmic circuit, which Krel took out of the ship). Still faster than Apollo 11 by about two days, but slower than the fastest man made object, the New Horizon probe that zipped by in only 8 hours.
- The Reveal: Alpha reveals that Morando hired the Brotherhood to kill Varvatos' family in order to get him to betray the royal family.
- Shout-Out:
- "The Blue Danube" plays as the Tarrons and Stuart experience the gravity of the Moon.
- A prison guard and Varvatos himself keep mentioning a "No touching" rule, which refers to the jail from Arrested Development.
- When Stuart is pressed about his stories as a bounty hunter, he tries to talk about murders in the game Clue.
- The episode title is a reference to Midnight Run.
- This Is Something He's Got to Do Himself: Both Varvatos and Aja acknowledge that only the former can fight Alpha, due to him taking part in the killing of Varvatos' family.
