"Here I come, Rosie! Splish, splash, splosh!"
Thomas and Rosie are shunting when Thomas invents a game that involves splashing engines by racing through puddles. Sir Topham Hatt tells Thomas to have a washdown before collecting himself and Alicia Botti. On the way, Thomas tries his "Splish, Splash, Splosh" game on the other engines and accidentally ruins James and Emily's loads. Thomas splashes through the biggest puddle yet, but only succeeds in putting his fire out and covering Miss Botti and Sir Topham Hatt with muddy water. Rosie rescues him and he offers to finish James and Emily's jobs so that they can go to the concert. At the concert, Rosie wants another game of "Splish, Splash, Splosh", but Thomas decides that he has had enough of that game.

- 1-Dimensional Thinking: When Thomas causes the largest splash of all which happens to be where Sir Topham Hatt and Alicia are present, it somehow didn't occur to them to quickly flee off the bridge to avoid getting splashed.
- All Work vs. All Play: Thomas was seemingly interested in playing with puddles more than work.
- An Aesop: Don't put off something important just to have fun, it's important to stay on task.
- Must Make Amends: To make up for splashing James and Emily's loads, Thomas decides to do both of their jobs so they can see the concert.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Not only does Thomas' puddle splashing mess up his friends' jobs, it also extinguishes his firebox and he cannot move anymore until Rosie comes to help.
