"Everyone had their reasons for wanting to kill Bryce. At the end of the night one of them would've followed through."

Monty has been sent to jail and his dad visits him. Rather than being angry at him for sexually assaulting someone, Monty's dad is more angry at the fact he had done it to a man. He asks him if Monty is gay to which Monty says he is. His dad tells him to expect to be beaten up or worse in jail to which Monty responds that "at least one of them would be my dad". Monty's dad gets up, spits at him and leaves.

Clay's mother, Lainie tells Justin and Clay to lay low as the investigation is still ongoing despite Clay being released on bail. Justin knows something that can save Clay - something Jessica told Ani.

Ani is called in for an interview with Deputy Standall. She tells him that many people had a motive to kill Bryce, it just needed someone with the guts to actually pull the trigger. She explains what happened at the Spring Fling with Tyler and the guns. She then tells Deputy Standall that it was Monty who threatened and killed Bryce at the docks.

Flashback. Monty sees Winston taking photographs and approaches him. Monty apologises for beating Winston up the day of the party. Winston invites him in to stay over the night. This proves Monty's innocence despite what Ani tells the police.

Flashback. The person at the docks is revealed to be Alex. He goes to the docks with Jessica when she goes to meet Bryce for what he wanted to give her. Bryce gives Jessica a tape with blood on it. Jessica takes it before walking away, saying nothing to him. As Bryce lies on the ground, he calls for help from them as he may die if they don't. Alex has a conflict in conscience so he goes to help. As he pulls Bryce to his feet, Bryce begins telling him that he's going to destroy Zach. He goes on to say that Jessica had set it up so Zach would attack him. Alex realises that Bryce will never stop inflicting pain on others and decides to get rid of him all together. He half-drags Bryce to the end of the docks where he pushes him in the river. Bryce drowns as a result with Alex and Jessica watching on.

Present Day. Ani tells Deputy Standall everything except she swaps the culprits Alex and Jessica for Monty. The rest of the group helped with evidence to support this after finding out Monty had died in prison. Charlie plants the tape Bryce gave Jessica in Monty's locker.

Deputy Standall seems to have figured out it was Alex however he wants to protect him and is okay with pinning the crime on Monty. He tells Ani that Monty had been killed in prison. The case is closed and Standall proceeds to burn Alex's clothes at the docks.

Later, we see the Jensens, Tony and his boyfriend Caleb and Justin enjoying a Thanksgiving dinner. Tony is Skyping with his family who are currently in Mexico. Ani and Clay begin dating officially whilst Justin decides to seek help for his drug habit. At Monet's, Tyler has put together a photography exhibition. The subject is everyone who had helped him in the past year.

A fishing boat is seen pulling up the bag of guns disposed in the river earlier. Winston sees the group in Monet's and talks to Ani outside. He tells her that he was with Monty the night Bryce was killed and he didn't deserve to die in prison like he did.
