When a hotel inspector inspects the Tipton Hotel, Zack accidentally loses his and Cody's lab rats Bonnie and Clyde, which makes Mr. Moseby lose his job. With the new Ilsa in charge, Zack enlists the help of Cody, Esteban, and Muriel to get Mr. Moseby back.
Tropes:
- All Germans Are Nazis: Quite a few Nazi jokes are aligned to Ilsa. Heck, her dog is called Blitzkrieg!
- The Dog Bites Back: A verbal one. When Mr. Moseby returns and tasks Esteban with a tall order, the latter so happily voices that he'd do anything for him. As he passes Ilsa, he coldly remarks that in contrast, he wouldn't lift a finger for. If nothing else, it drives home that Esteban isn't loyal to just anyone who calls themselves the hotel's manager.
- Jerkass Has a Point: Ilsa doesn't spare Mr. Moseby a harsh word about how disorderly his hotel was at the time. It may have been Zack's fault the hotel was in disarray, but it doesn't change that it was on Mr. Moseby's watch.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: The Tipton Review Board. While Moseby is put on leave for what happened, they give him a second chance and when they see him resolve a very difficult situation, they quickly realize he was simply assessed at a bad moment and give him his job back.
- Rejected Apology: Downplayed. Moseby appreciates Zack's apology, but it doesn't change the fact he may have ruined his entire career not just his job. Once Zack gets his job back, he does forgive him.
- Zany Scheme: The boys' plan for getting Mr. Moseby back. After tricking him into coming back due to danger, they cause enough trouble in the hotel that Ilsa isn't able to handle while Mr. Moseby does.
