Painter Smurf creates "Tough" Wimpy.
Wimpy Smurf challenges Hefty to a fight. In an accident, Wimpy wins and is treated like a strongman.
This episode has the following tropes:
- Adaptation Name Change: Weakling Smurf is called Wimpy here.
- Adaptational Personality Change: Weakling Smurf in the original comics and cartoon show was nervous and lacked self confidence,Wimpy in this show doesn't seem to have that problem as he is confident enought to challenge Hefty.
- Adaptational Wimp: Funnily enough, Wimpy is this; Weakling Smurf in both the original comics and the Hanna-Barbera cartoon turns out to be actually pretty strong and just lacked self-confidence as proven by the placebo Papa Smurf gives him in both versions. Here, Wimpy is genuilly well a wimp (or at least not as strong and Hefty) and only gains the competition out of luck.
- A Day in the Limelight : For Wimpy.
- Distracted by the Sexy: A pretty G-rated example, Hefty distracts himself and loses the race when Smurfette blows him a kiss.
- Getting the Boot: Brainy gets this from Smurfette when she disguises herself as a fortune teller.
- Karmic Jackpot: Thanks to Hefty´s kindness towards Wimpy, Smurfette helps him to get his reputation as the Village´s strongman back.
- Lovable Jock: Hefty is shown to be proud of his own physical prowess yet is also very polite to Wimpy,going easy on him during the fight. In fact, the reason he loses by accident is because he goes back to help him finish the race.
- No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Hefty ends up losing the race because Wimpy gets stuck in an obstacle and goes back to help him. The other smurfs mock him and treat Wimpy as the village´s new strongman. Although Karmic Jackpot also plays into the episode as seen above.
- Only Sane Woman: Or woman; Smurfette, for some reason, is the only one who sees that Wimpy's victory was an accident.
- The Strongman: Wimpy is treated like this after he wins the fight.
