While having a beach party, the gang encounters a soul-stealing sea monster.
This episode includes examples of the following:
- "Scooby-Doo" Hoax: The titular "Creepy Heap" is being used to scare people away from an operation to help criminals flee to another country.
- Sea Monster: The titular "Creepy Heap", a bizarre beast with claws and fins.
- Undercover When Alone: Once the gang goes on their way, a character bolts his door to keep out the monster and then seems shocked and terrified when the monster appears behind him. This makes little sense once it turns out that he and the person in the monster costume are working together.
- Your Soul Is Mine!: The Creepy Heap supposedly feeds on human souls, and stole Captain Clements'.
