When Cyril's presumed long-lost brother comes to claim inheritance from the Sneers, Bert and the Pigs suspect he's an imposter.
Simon Says! contains examples of:
- Alliterative Title: Simon Says!
- Conviction by Contradiction: Bert is able to tell that Simon is an imposter because if he was working on a boat like he claimed, his hands wouldn't be as smooth as when they shook hands.
- Impersonation-Exclusive Character: Cyril Sneer's long-lost brother Simon shows up to claim his inheritance, which means half of Sneer Industries. While Cyril suspected from the beginning that "Simon" was an impostor, the truth is only confirmed when the impostor (whose real name is Sid Leech) is shown to be afraid of worms as a result of a revenge prank the real Simon pulled on Leech and wrote about in a diary.
- Mondegreen Gag: Fern mishears the other characters twice:Bert: Have you lost your mind?
Fern: Lost my line? Well, it's 20-pound test line, boy, you never lose it.

Cedric: Leave Uncle Simon alone, Bert! You're just fishing for clues that aren't there!
Fern: What's that, fishing with shoes? Heh, forget it! Haha, just use one of these! [pulls a worm out of his pocket] These are the best! - Scatterbrained Senior: Fern is old enough to have been the Sneers' groundskeeper when Cyril and Simon were children and currently be retired, he fails to recognize Simon despite his claims that he never forgets a face, and sometimes mishears what the other characters say.
- Subverted Suspicion Aesop: Bert suspects Simon isn't who he says he is and searches for answers, but Ralph, Melissa, and Cedric believe his suspicions are unfounded. However, he's eventually proven right when he discovers Simon is actually Sid Leech trying to con the Sneers out of their fortune.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Bert learns from Simon's diary that he's afraid of spiders while Sid Leech is afraid of worms. He later uses this information to prove that Simon is an imposter.
