Wizard Kelly organizes a Tween Idol competition, where the winner gets to perform with Alecia Keys. LaCieniga becomes a finalist alongside fellow schoolmate Agatha Ordinario, who despite being much homelier than the former has a beautiful singing voice. However, despite Agatha being the clear audience and judge favorite, LaCinegia is still declared the winner, leading Penny and Sticky to investigate and find out the competition was rigged.

Tropes:

  • As Himself: Alicia Keys, Randy Jackson, and Brian Dunkleman.
  • Beautiful Singing Voice: Despite Agatha's plain appearance, she's noted to have an incredible singing voice when she enters the Tween Idol competition. Even Caustic Critic Percival is moved to tears when he hears her.
  • Caustic Critic: Percival often shuns tweens who are auditioning to be in "Tween Idol", leading Michael to conclude that he's evil. To be fair, though, one of the tweens he sends out the door, Dijonay, really is Hollywood Tone-Deaf.
  • Crack Defeat: As Penny and Sticky discover, Agatha beat LaCienega by a landslide in votes.note  But she still lost because Wizard Kelly thought she was too ugly. After Penny informs LaCienega of this and guilts her for initially not caring, she thankfully does the right thing and gives her prize, performing on stage with Alicia Keys, to Agatha.
  • Dramatically Missing the Point: After Penny has a discussion with LaCienega about karma, LaCienega thinks karma is some sort of magical hex Penny cast on her and calls her out on it, rather than a concept of reaping what you sow.
  • Everybody Has Standards: Percival is a Caustic Critic who initially nitpicks Agatha Ordinario's appearance. But after hearing her sing, he cries Manly Tears and admits her singing is beautiful.
  • Evil Brit: Percival, played, naturally, to perfection by Tim Curry. Also acts as an Expy to Simon Cowell.
  • Gonk: Agatha has Pubescent Braces, a very lanky figure, large glasses, and a, frankly, very plain face.
  • Graceful Loser: LaCieniga is surprisingly willing to admit defeat over Agatha after seeing her perform, with her offering a handshake and is about to admit it’s clear who the real winner is but then when she is declared the winner she takes it back and revels in her victory. However in the end, after finding out the contest was rigged, despite initially wanting to keep the victory before being told off by Penny, LaCieniga\] admits on stage that Agatha deserves to win.* HollywoodToneDeaf: Oh, gosh! Dijonay's very off-key rendition of "Frankie and Johnny."* InadvertentEntranceCue: When Penny and Sticky hack into the contest votes and discover it was actually Agatha who won, they see that [=LaCienega only got one vote, and Penny wonders aloud on who it could've been. In walks Oscar, loudly celebrating over her victory.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: After Penny calls her out on her selfness, LaCienega admits on stage that Agatha is the true winner. This gives Oscar his just desserts for intending to use LaCienega as an ATM and just to destroy the evidence from Penny and Sticky earlier, so he won't get a single coin or dollar.
  • Manly Tears: Percival when he hears Agatha Ordinario sing in the finals,
Percival: (weeping) You, Agatha, are perfection.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: Percival is a blatant ripoff of Simon Cowell.
  • Oblivious Guilt Slinging: LaCienega is about to take the stage with Alicia Keys, knowing full well that Agatha should be there. She's about to go on when Agatha, who has no idea she's the real winner, genuinely wishes her good luck. This manages to make LaCienega guilty enough to forfeit the contest, something Penny failed to do earlier.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Penny tries to ask LaCienega to do the right thing and give Agatha the prize. When she refuses, this prompts Penny to basically tell her that for all the mean and snobbish things she's done, she's never seen her so ugly before.
Penny: LaCienega, I’ve got to talk to you.
LaCienega: The Wizard told me all about it.
Penny: He told you he fixed the contest?
LaCienega: No. But he told me you'd say that.
    Sticky: LaCienega, it's true.
Penny: And it's up to you to set the record straight.
LaCienega: Proud, even if I did believe your ridiculous story, you actually expect me to ruin my life for Little Miss Plain Jane?! I don't think so!
Penny: You know, LaCienega, what goes around comes around! It's called Bad Karma!
LaCienega: Well, Proud, you've got bad timing and bad taste in clothes. Now, if you'll excuse me, my show must go on.
Penny: Your show only goes on because you're prettier than Agatha. But you know what, LaCienega? For all it's worth, I'm looking at you right now, and I've never seen anyone uglier!
(LaCienega gasps in shock, then rushes away)
  • Rigged Contest: The only reason LaCienega won was because she was prettier than Agatha, so Wizard Kelly fixed the votes in her favor. In his own words “Pretty sells and ugly repels, money that is.”
  • Vocal Dissonace: During the audition montage Zoey is revealed to surpassingly sing in an operatic voice very well.
