A villain named the Salamander kidnaps the Professor and takes him to his lair to build a giant magnifying glass with which to burn the earth. Because Blossom begrudgingly made a promise, Bubbles leads the team to save the Professor.
This episode contains examples of:
- Mundane Made Awesome: When the Salamander sends his guards out to stop the girls, Bubbles has the girls hurl their stuffed toys and a fork with a cork on the tines at them. To Blossom's (and the Salamander's) surprise, both ideas work.
- Tertiary Sexual Characteristics: The Salamander is baffled as to how Bubbles could defeat his army and thwart his evil plans by stalling till night. When Buttercup says "Because she's Bubbles!," Bubbles flitters long eyelashes.
