The Drooling Fool

Original air date: 4/12/2023

Patrick's uncontrollable drooling is flooding the city. How will his family put a stop to it?

The Drooling Fool contains examples of:

  • Art Shift: This episode, guest directed by Eddie Trigueros, has a noticeably more angular and cartoony style that the rest of the show.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: GrandPat actually watches the episode on TV, and turns it off because he's already seen it before.
  • Call-Back: Cecil tries to stop Patrick's drooling with one of his underarm corks, which he was shown to have in "Klopnodian Heritage Festival".
  • Crashing Dreams: At the end of Patrick's dream, the announcer keeps shouting "Patrick!" over and over again. It turns out Squidina is saying the same thing to wake him up.
  • Dreadful Musician: Bunny yodels badly and plays the accordion out of tune, angering Tinkle.
  • Dream Intro: The episode opens with an announcer showing Patrick an amusement park made entirely out of ice cream. It's so delicious that he starts drooling in real life.
  • Fake-Out Opening: The episode begins with a commercial for an ice cream-themed amusement park, which Patrick is all too happy to partake in. It turns out this is just a dream he was having.
  • Mouth Taped Shut: Bunny tapes Patrick's mouth shut to stop his drooling. However, the drool just comes out of his nose instead.

Patrick's Got a Zoo Loose

Original air date: 4/13/2023

An intergalactic zookeeper appears on Patrick's show, and his shapeshifting alien gets loose. Now Patrick has to hunt it down before it can cause any more trouble.

This was the final episode to be produced by the show's original crew. Afterwards, a new staff team would start working on it.

Patrick's Got a Zoo Loose contains examples of:

  • Call-Back:
    • Bunny freaks out when her toaster works perfectly and doesn't try to fight her back. It was established to do this in "Enemies a la Mode".
    • Squidina fights off the caged aliens with a flyswatter. An earlier episode, "Klopnodian Heritage Festival", had a side plot with Squidina learning how to swat flies.
  • Fun with Homophones: Nosferatu has a comedy show called I Didn't Order the Stake!, the cover showing him at a restaurant with a stake on his plate.
  • Out-of-Character Alert: Bunny knows her toaster isn't the usual one when it toasts her bread normally. Usually, it has a big fight with her. Indeed, when she finds the real one, it fires Projectile Toast that cuts her head clean off. She's just relieved it's back to normal.
  • Tricking the Shapeshifter: Squidina dares the shapeshifter to turn into various forms. The last one she lists is an ice cream cone, knowing ice cream is Patrick's Trademark Favorite Food. Patrick eats the cone whole to defeat the shapeshifter for good.
