When an accident with Rabbit's calendar makes the animals believe that it's Groundhog Day, Rabbit assigns Piglet to be the groundhog, with him inadvertently making the animals think it's springtime. Unfortunately, trouble abounds when it suddenly starts snowing.
This episode contains examples of:
- Accidental Ventriloquism: Piglet's friends see a pile of snow with his hat on it, think he's frozen up, and take "him" into Rabbit's house. When the snow melts and they put the water in a bowl, Piglet enters and tries talking to Rabbit, resulting in him thinking he's being addressed by him from the bowl.Rabbit: Can you ever forgive me?!
Piglet: Of course, Rabbit.
Rabbit: (turns around) Did you hear that, Piglet? Piglet forgives me! (beat) PIGLET?! - Closest Thing We Got: Due there not being a groundhog in the forest, the animals turn to Gopher, who takes offense to the comparison. Rabbit has Piglet be the groundhog instead.
- Exact Words: Due to his hat being over his eyes, Piglet can't see anything, let alone his shadow. Unfortunately, Rabbit takes this to mean winter was over.
- Got Volunteered: Unable to find an actual groundhog, Rabbit tasks Piglet with the job.
- Internal Reveal: The audience sees the pages of Rabbit's calendar fall off and stop on February 2nd, leading him to assume it's Groundhog Day; however, Rabbit is unaware of this until after chewing Piglet out, which is when he finds the missing pages and realizes it was still November.
- The Tape Knew You Would Say That: When Rabbit finds a note on Piglet's door saying he'd gone to find an actual groundhog to learn when spring really was, Rabbit comments that he must be kidding. He then sees a P.S saying "I'm not kidding".
- What the Hell, Hero?: Rabbit gives Piglet one when he seemingly makes the animals think that it was spring in the middle of winter. He has a Jerkass Realization when he realizes it wasn't Piglet's fault after all.
