Gracie meets a new friend who has a male nanny. He and Fran hit it off, and become great friends—but only because Fran thinks that he is homosexual.
- Irony: Fran befriends Kurt and the two hit if off well, only because she assumed that he was gay. She even laments that if he was straight she'd consider him the perfect man for her. However, he later reveals to be straight and attracted to her. The two start dating, only for it to not work out between them. Ouch.
- Mistaken for Gay: The entire main cast is under the impression that Kurt is gay due to his well groomed appearance and "campy" interests. Fran becomes mortified when she finds out that he is actually straight.
