- Actually Pretty Funny: While Kermit is annoyed by Fozzie's Fun with Homophones Running Gag, he does admit it's not a bad gag and tries to do it to Scooter. It doesn't work, though.
- Ambiguous Syntax: In the "Look At That Face" number, Candice is an artist's model in a painting class. When the teacher sees that Animal is just splattering paint on the canvas, he tells him that he's supposed to be painting the model. So Animal runs over to Candice and starts painting on her.
- Blazing Inferno Hellfire Sauce: The Swedish Chef's skit involves him making a very, very spicy sauce. The first taste test makes steam pour out of his ears; the second blows his hat right off his head.
- Extreme Omnivore: During the interview segment, Candice is shooting pictures of Kermit when Sweetums interrupts. He asks if Candice's camera is any good, and when she explains that it is, Sweetums eats it and says, "I don't know. I've tasted better."Candice: Kermit, he ate my camera.

- Housewife: In the "Put Another Log on the Fire" number, Candice is an overworked farmer's wife, toiling away while her Lazy Husband just sits on his rocking chair singing, including implying he's sleeping with her sister because the wife is getting fat. Eventually, she's fed up, changes into jeans and a Women's Lib T-shirt, puts a bucket on her no-good hubby's head and storms out of the house.
- Pie in the Face: At the end of the episode, Kermit gives one to Fozzie. A bit gets onto Candice.Fozzie: Look what you did! Look what you did! You did that to the lady, the guest! What a runt! [to Candice] Are you all right?
- Pun: In the Veterinarian's Hospital sketch, Behemoth has a frog in his throat. Literally, since he's eaten Kermit.
- Shoot Out the Lock: Candice leaves her husband during the "Put Another Log On The Fire" number by using his double-barrelled shotgun to blow the cabin door off its hinges.
- This Is Gonna Suck: When Kermit delivers pie-shaped karma to Fozzie, his tone is all this. Meanwhile, Candice steps backwards as she knows what's going to happen, and she still gets splatted.
- Violently Protective Girlfriend: Fozzie's running gag comes to an end when he dumps flour over Kermit while Miss Piggy is nearby. She pummels him for it.
- Waldorf: I think I ought to see a doctor.
Statler: Why do you say that?
Waldorf: I'm beginning to like the show.
