Wario and Waluigi's Valentine's Day is the fifth and (as of now) final episode of The Mario Plushie Cinematic Universe.
Wario and Waluigi are feeling lonely on Valentine's Day, so Waluigi goes outside to take a walk around. He spies Peach and is instantly infatuated. However, he's scared off by her daughter. Waluigi returns to his and Wario's room to excitedly tell Wario about what happened, but this only motivates Wario to impress Peach. They both do their best to make themselves look nice for her, but time and time again, she turns them down. Baby Peach visits and threatens them, sending them running. Feeling disheartened, they turn to the only option they have left.
Wario and Waluigi stand in a dark alleyway. Wario is cowardly, but Waluigi puts on a brave face as they approach the lair, only to flip the lights on and reveal Kamek. They buy a 30-minute love potion from him, which he says will make Peach fall in love with the first person she sees. Afterwards, they venture off to Peach's home.
Peach is about to take her nap and goes to the bathroom. Waluigi sneaks in and slips the love potion into her drink. She downs the entire glass and goes to sleep. Waluigi sits in front of her, but Wario comes in to try and make her fall in love with him. They fight, which wakes her up, and she falls in love with both of them. Mario enters, outraged at Wario and Waluigi for spiking Peach's drink. This attracts Baby Peach to the room, who is furious. Mario and Baby Peach fight Wario and Waluigi and win by a landslide. Baby Peach finds out Kamek is the one who created the love potion, and she promptly beats him up.
This episode contains examples of:
- Anti-Climax: Wario and Waluigi set up the meeting with Kamek for a while, with dramatic music and a spooky atmosphere setting a mood, just for it to completely peter out when they actually see him.
- Creepy Child: Baby Peach is this to Wario and Waluigi.
- Gone Horribly Right: Peach DOES fall in love with the first person, or people, she sees, but it leads her to hate Mario and her daughter, Baby Peach.
- Hidden Depths: In Valentine's Day, Wario and Waluigi acknowledge Wario's psychic powers and never bring it up again.
- Holiday Episode: Valentine's Day is this. Or, at least, was intended to be this, as it was uploaded on March 14th, one month after Valentine's Day.
- Idiot Ball: Peach clearly notices her drink is different and still drinks it. Even if it hadn't been spiked, it could still give her a disease.
- Love Potion: Wario and Waluigi make one for Peach in Valentine's Day.
- Love Triangle: Wario, Waluigi, and Peach.
- Mood Whiplash: In Valentine's Day, the spooky scene of Wario and Waluigi approaching Kamek into his actual reveal.
- Potty Humor:Baby Peach: Mommy, I need a diaper change.
- Shoot the Messenger: In Valentine's Day, Baby Peach beats up Kamek, who only created the love potion. Justified in that it's the only way to cure the effects of the potion on Peach.
- Shout-Out:
- Waluigi says "Right away, sir... captain... sir captain!" which is lifted straight from Random Encounters' Just Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes musical.
- Kamek's rules are lifted straight from Aladdin.
- Take a Third Option: The love potion makes Peach fall in love with the first person she sees. However, she sees Wario and Waluigi at the same time, so she ends up falling in love with them both.
- Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Basically, Baby Peach's character. Though, we don't know if she actually acts on these.
- Villain Protagonist: Peach isn't interested in Wario or Waluigi, so what do they do? Why, spike her drink with a love potion, of course! This raises some unfortunate parallels to how some men will act with women who aren't interested in them, too.
- Waxing Lyrical: Peach says "The cold never bothered me anyways."
