- Green-Eyed Monster: Dougal is incredibly jealous of all the attention his Australian cousin Digger is getting from his friends. So he asks Zebedee for help on being funny in order to get the attention from his friends where they can laugh with him.
- Squirting Flower Gag: Dougal wants Ermintrude to sniff the flower on his hat, but when she does, the flower squirts Ermintrude, causing her to stumble and fall onto Dylan, Brian and Florence. None of them, including Digger, find that very amusing.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Right after Dougal's water flower squirted Ermintrude which made her fall over everybody and her prized azaleas, Digger was appalled at Dougal for this.
